"There was many things that were incredibly disappointing about this property. An hour before arriving we received a message to say the main bathroom toilet was blocked and they weren’t going to fix it before our stay, meaning the only toilets available were inside the 2 en-suite bathrooms. After arriving we found the house in what seemed to be mid construction. The kitchen was still covered in protective plastic, with cupboards without handles and a complete lack of cutlery, glasses and plates....

"The property was great, very spacious with plenty of room for our extended family, 7 people total. Everything was well taken care of. The kitchen was very well stocked, and communication was great. Location was terrific, with lots of great shops and restaurants. One thing to be aware of is that there are several flights of stairs to get to the flat. "This was my fifth stay at the Palace Hotel, I also go to Buxton Opera House to see a show. We booked dinner and breakfast at the hotel.Check in was great, very pleasant receptionist.Our evening meal last night was lovely, great service from a pleasant waitress and the meal was very tasty! I had a good night's sleep in room 301,it has has a new bathroom suite with a lovely shower, I had no noise disturbances from other guests going into their rooms. Self service breakfast was great! I absolutely love walking down the grand staircase. It's a gorgeous hotel and I love when I get a room with a view of the Buxton hills! "
