Big Buck Lodge
This is great for families and relaxation by the lake. Enjoy peaceful sunrises on the deck or breathtaking northern lights at night by the fire. Plenty of boating and fishing. This oasis is a great place to relax and spend quality time with friends and family. Located within an hour of three main northern cities (Alpena, Mackinac, and Petoskey), a trip to the island or a day at lake Huron, the options are endless. New lakeside beach coming summer 2024

We rented this property based on its location to the area that we’ve been hunting white tailed deer for over 40 years and we a short commute to the woods. What we were pleasantly surprised by was how responsive our host was to any question or need we had. The house was clean and very comfortable, we all the essentials needed for cooking our meals.
It was a nice place to stay but there is a couple things we didn’t care for. First, you cannot swim in the lake...it is far too weedy. It is a great fishing lake...especially for pike. Second, the bath on main floor has a nice jacuzzi tub , but no shower. The bath in the lower level (walk out basement) has a shower. Both baths are nicely done. Everything looks recently remodeled and most everything you may need is provided. Overall it was a nice place to stay.
I’m 33 weeks pregnant so we wanted a close-ish getaway with family before the big day. This place was perfect. We enjoyed burgers and dogs on the grill, had smores each night around the fire and the kayaks were so fun! We ventured into the town for dinner and also checked out the waterfall which provided enjoyment for everyone from our toddler to my mother in law! Great spot.
