Outstanding. Unique. Superb. A real find.
Corte Nerina is in the middle of an old historic town within 5 mins walk of Castello Visconti di San Vito, a fortified mansion built in13th century. The roads are cobblestone and walls high. We could not have been happier with this property. It is a new, purpose built, property with top-end kitchen, aircon, heating, windows, furnishings - beautifully designed. There is plentiful parking and it is set-back from the narrow streets through a double courtyard [with an electronic gate]. It is quiet ... and, to our delight and surprise, surrounded by trees, shrubs [jasmine] and plants. I have often wondered what life is like behind the walls of the old towns of Europe and I discovered serene beauty. The apartment is immaculate, well designed, clean and stocked with coffee and a few snacks. Thoughtfully considered.
Our host, lives in the next door house to the property and was absolutely lovely and helpful throughout. We were grateful for his proximity and kindness - especially when we locked ourselves into the courtyard on the morning of our flight. The location is amazing. Only a 15min drive to Milan airport - so taxi access would work. I cannot recommend this property enough. I am grateful for this experience and would 100% stay here again.
