"This was the perfect place for our double family vacation with teen boys. The location was perfect, convenient neighborhood boat launch, & plenty of room to spread out. This was the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever seen in a rental. The internet worked fine, and we could stream easily on tv on the rainy day. The only possible helpful feedback would be to have the grounds treated for ants. As clean and well maintained as the property was, ants were everywhere outside! It’s understandable, it is in the middle of the woods. The host was easy to contact and quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again!!! "

"Overall, this is an excellent location with beautiful lake scenery. I would stay again.On another note, the home could benefit from a good cleaning, and not just a turnover for the next guest. Doors and walls were dirty in some places, trash can was pretty rough with a lot of crumbs and food left around the inside of the can, and sliding glass door track was filthy as well."

"I recently stayed at The Heart of Huxley Bay fishing lake house, and I have to say, it was a truly lovely experience. The house itself has that cozy cabin vibe, decorated with warmth and a touch of charm that immediately makes you feel at home. Each morning, sipping coffee on the porch while taking in the stunning views of the lake was a highlight. Fishing was, of course, a big part of our stay. The lake is teeming with fish, and it was such a joy to cast a line right from the dock. I caught several decent-sized catfish during our trip, which made for some great meals in the evenings. What I appreciated most was the peace and quiet of the location. It’s very serene, perfect for unwinding and escaping the hustle and bustle of daily life. The area around the lake house has some nice roads too, which we explored in the afternoons.The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and there’s even a grill outside for those beautiful evenings by the lake. The hosts were incredibly friendly and ensured that everything we needed was at our fingertips.Overall, if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway filled with fishing and beautiful scenery, The Heart of Huxley Bay is definitely worth considering. I left feeling refreshed and already planning my next visit!"
