Midvalley Hotels, Salt Lake City

"Spend an extra $10-$20 and stay somewhere else! To save $, I've stayed in a lot of 2-star places over the years, but this one definitely takes the cake in regard to low quality and poor condition. Words can't adequately describe the poor quality of the room: cracks, breaks, holes, dings, discoloration, funk, smears, burns, rips, dents, etc. etc. etc. The outside door looked like it had at one time been pried open. There were no hangers, iron, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, clock, pool/hot tub, breakfast, lobby coffee/tea, wash clothes or microwave. The shower never did get really hot, only luke warm and the shower curtain that looked like it was from 1993 smelled like urine. ICK! The bathtub bottom was scratched horribly; luckily there was no visible mold under the mat (tho that's what it looked like). We had 1 towel, 2 hand towels, 1 floor towel, 1 bar of terrible soap that wouldn't lather, 1 sheet, 1 blanket, 2 pillows and that was pretty much it. All this and they have the audacity to demand a $150 security deposit + $60/night for the room! The only few positives I can mention were the following (take them as you wish): this property has the convenience to the on/off ramp of the I-215, the bed/sheets were clean (tho there were cigarette burns), the floor was swept and clean, the fridge and A/C/heater worked. But truly, that's all I can say about this dump. IMHO, this property needs completely dozed and a nice, new budget friendly hotel should be built in its place."

"This was my second time staying at the Park Inn by Radisson in Murray, UT (South Salt Lake City), and both visits had similar issues. During my first stay in October 2025, my door key card became inactive the day before checkout. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again on April 15, 2026, during my second visit. While the furniture in the room was acceptable, it showed significant signs of wear. I found one staff member at the front desk to be very helpful, but another staff member was difficult to understand and not very courteous. Considering these experiences, I will be looking for another hotel for my next trip to Salt Lake City."
