Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, this 4 bedroom and 2.5 bath home provides families and friends with everything you’ll need to enjoy an unforgettable vacation. Here you'll enjoy a gorgeous in-ground pool with toys, a variety of lawn games, and a charcoal grill. 3 beaches and downtown Newport are just minutes away.

THE SPACE

Inside the house you’ll find a formal dining room with place settings for 12. 10 can be seated comfortably. A spacious living room features a couch for 10, and 60 inch flat screen TV. A large and fully stocked kitchen makes it easy for families and friends to prepare meals together. With enhanced cleaning measures, and a spotless track record of cleanliness, #ChiquitaCasita is your Newport poolside oasis.

The updated kitchen features granite countertops and is quite spacious by New England standards. Four bedrooms are made with luxury linens, and soft rich towels. Each of the three bathrooms are stocked with hand towels to provide a luxury experience. Wall-mounted flat screen TVs combine comfort and functionality for your stay at this island escape.

The heated salt water pool has a 10 foot deep end and 3 foot shallow end, and is open between May 1 and October 23.

THE AREA

Located off the Newport Pell Bridge and West Main Road, #ChiquitaCasita is 3.1 miles and 12 minutes from downtown Newport, and around the corner from the Navy Base and NUWC. The driveway parks four cars easily, with two additional parking spaces on the street in front of the house. A quick drive or shared ride to the beaches and downtown Newport are $8-12 standard fare, and up to about $30 for late-night surge pricing.

#ChiquitaCasita is ideal for groups who want the benefits of a private heated salt water pool and a safe, spacious, clean, and upscale stay while visiting the Newport area. There are two king and three queen size memory foam beds for a great night sleep for up to 10 guests. The oversized living room couch or an air mattress offer practical sleeping arrangement for up to 2 additional guests. #ChiquitaCasita is strictly limited to 12 guests.

No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed in the house. If you wish to smoke or vape, please do so in the backyard at least 20 feet from the doors and windows. Please safely extinguish and throw out your butts in the outside trash.

A full-size washer and dryer are available in the downstairs bathroom.

For your safety the space is equipped with smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors. There is also a flashlight, first aid kit, and fire extinguisher located under the kitchen sink. An additional fire extinguisher can be found immediately inside the basement door. Cleaning supplies now remain available to guests during their stay.

All of the TV's in the house operate on an Amazon Fire Stick. We maintain paid access to Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu's premium service which includes great on demand and live content. Guests are welcome to login to services like Netflix with their own credentials if they prefer to. The Amazon Fire Stick home screen makes this intuitive and easy.

Cute, Quaint Stay with A Responsive Owner

Stayed here for President’s Day weekend with family and friends. The 11 of us were very comfortable and appreciated the responsiveness of the owner to answer questions and address our needs. We will definitely return during the warmer months when the pool is open to take advantage of that feature of the property, along with the inviting backyard and lounge area. Thanks

Perfect Location

This house was exactly as described and the perfect location. We were able to relax and cook here and were able to use this as home base for trips all around the area. If you’re going to the Navy base, this house is only 5 minutes away. We would stay here again. The hosts even provided great tips on food and activities in the area!

We had a great time at Chiquita Casita! There were 10 adults and we fit very comfortably! The pool was amazing, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the location is so easy to drive or uber to Newport!

Great family home to gather a large group

This family home had everything you could need to relax. Stocked kitchen, laundry, and 2.5 baths made our stay easy with ten guests. The pool and large backyard was an added bonus. We rented due to the proximity to base. We would return.

Great stay

Very close to Newport with an in ground pool, good sized backyard and very attentive host. Probably the most well stocked vacation rental I’ve been to(Nespresso!) Two minute drive to Aldi and a six or seven drive to stop and shop as well. Cozy interior with large flat screens in every room as well as fire sticks on each of them. Would stay again!

A great spot

Plenty of room for my group of 11. Owner was very responsive and the property was clean. The property is situated conveniently close to the beach and downtown. Kids loved the pool. I would stay again.

Spacious yet cozy

I stayed at this property during a late Fall work trip to Newport. I didn’t get to enjoy the pool but I can see how amazing it would be to stay here in the summer. Everything was just as expected. Getting in was super easy. Edward even mailed a package back to me that arrived after my departure. Very fast communication. I would love to try to snag this gem for Newport Folk Fest.

Family getaway

We had a great stay here. The home was perfect and comfortable. We were in town to meet our new granddaughter and needed a space that could accommodate my mom, my daughter and grandson, my husband and I. This was the place!! We had room for more! Perfect Vacation Home for Family

Our memorable week spent at Edward's home was perfect for our 7 adult family members and two toddlers. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well supplied. Amazing home and host!

We stayed in this home for Salve Regina’s graduation weekend. The home was the perfect space for our family 7. The was immaculate and the outdoor space was an added bonus! The home is fully stocked beyond my expectations! The location was perfect to be close enough to the university and all Newport offers while being far enough for quiet. Very convenient for day trips to several destinations

This house was the perfect location for us to take multiple day trips to several other destinations on our east coast bucket list. We were able to explore Boston, Salem & Plymouth MA as well as Mystic, CT still leaving us a few days to stay local and check out Newport. Edward was a fantastic host and always responded to messages promptly. The house was very comfortable for our group, we had 4 adults and 7 kids and we all really enjoyed our stay.

Every you need was supplied

This was the most organized stay we had at any Vrbo rental. From the communications from our host to our stay was enjoyable.
