"I loved the big four post bed, Africa theme decoration’s, and parking in the overflow area. The bathroom mirror and under the vanity were not clean; there was a broken soap dish under the vanity on the floor. I was kept awake from loud conversations and arguing on the floor above me. Cigarette buts littered the side entry ramp I pulled my suitcase up. The elevator left very much to be desired, as it was very sketchy if it could be trusted. Staff we friendly and helpful."

"The location was perfect, walking distance to the boardwalk. Renovations were great however they may need to check their outlets as the plugs were blocked by the new headboards. I was only able to get a plug into one of the four outlets. Other than that out stay was excellent and staff was very helpful"

"We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel great location to get to the citadel and walk down the hill to the city and the waterfront. The beds and pillows are supremely comfortable. The room was very nice although there were some areas that could’ve been cleaned a little better. We didn’t really experience the staff other than checking in, which was really courteous and friendly. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. There are so many local eateries around the hotel however, the breakfast looked very good."

"I wanted to love this hotel but ... through 15 days in Nova Scotia, we stayed at three official hotels and this was our least favorite by a pretty good margin. It's a weird hotel, in many ways. We were assigned - to our surprise - a handicap accessible room. It was not great. The floor in the bathroom was actually slick - I slipped on it when it was dry. We were on the 10th floor and the water pressure for the shower was almost non-existent. My wife didn't want to wash her hair because she wasn't sure she could rinse it well enough. There wasn't nearly enough room in the bathroom for 'stuff' like your dope bag or toiletries. The bed is probably the hardest we experienced in our trip. The staff is a bit - maybe more than a bit - pretentious (excepting the valets, they were great). The in-house restaurant was the worst dining experience in our trip. Parking is the most expensive we experienced. The room service was - well I wanted to say hit or miss but it was mostly a miss. They didn't replenish the in-room coffee/tea service. (I know, a small thing - but at the prices they have, it's kinda a given.) Plus, they were super busy. We had better experiences elsewhere."

"Second time staying here, and it's still as great as ever! The room was clean and comfortable, the front desk staff were friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. If the hotel could add a few EV charging stations, it would be perfect. Highly recommended!"
