"Had to turn the water off while showering because it wouldn’t drain and would overflow the pan. Hotel appeared to be under renovations? Outlets didn’t work in the room. Staff tried to be helpful, but I got the feeling management was just trying to do cheap repairs and nothing really worked. Housekeeping was sub par. People serving breakfast were kind."

"First of all, be aware of what you are renting. The "cottages" are actually townhomes and there are four per unit. The walls are extremely then/poorly insulated so you feel like you’re staying with the other people who are next door. That said,, the place was comfortable & clean, but not meticulously maintained. The units are showing their age for sure. The staff was incredibly responsive and friendly. They really made the stay outstanding.Basically, if you’re going to stay here, bring earplugs so you get a good nights sleep. Speaking of sleep the sheets are a very strange material and even the sheets are loud. It’s almost like a plasticy fabric.Of the options available in the area this one is probably your best bet."

"Booked a few days out from the weekend we planned. Received only instructions to go to the front desk to get keys 2pm the day of arrival. Drove over 4 hrs with the whole family in the car ready to relax only to find out there was no booking , couldn’t get ahold of the owner. Called VRBO customer service and absolutely struggled to understand the representative assigned. Was told to give the confirmation number from our reservation email… it’s not working… they do not have it , kept saying this but that’s all they told us to do . The receptionist said they have had multiple issues with VRBO using their resort location as a VRBO when the location is a timeshare. It caused over 1 hr of disruption to our night as the communication was extremely difficult. I asked to speak to a supervisor however after a long hold just came back to the same representative. The only benefit was being able to get a full refund however had to ask the representative to slow down and speak clearly to fully understand what he was doing so we wouldn’t end up in further delays of what his resolution was. It’s absolutely unacceptable to have to pay the same location or any other location out of pocket more money due to waiting 1-2 weeks for the refund. Your company needs to make better rules for the owners to be aware of their timeshare booking and management as it’s false advertising to offer all year round booking for a timeshare- especially when our booking was not even in the system… explain that! "

"We could have gotten past the fact that the house was not the cleanest or the fact that there was really no place to hung your clothes. All the bedroom closet were full on the host personal items. Most of the kitchen cabinets were also full of the host personal food, two cabinets were full of spices, most expired. And really no sets of dishes to eat off of. The smell and taste of the water was horrible. We couldn’t even brush your teeth without a using a bottle of water to rinse. We spent a lot of money on bottle water. And bathing was nearly possible to the point we left a day earlier than planned. Pictures posted of the web site definitely did not match our expectations on the place. The back deck was nearly unusable due to the dog poop all over the outside carpet. We could not find a fire pit. Our host did check on us and communicated well. We were disappointed with your stay. We arrived early were told there was work being done to the property however the neighbors said he left at 10, we arrived around 1230 nobody was there and we were denied early access. Both the property and pool were not clean. Because of construction we could not access the beach. The neighbors allowed us beach access. "
