"The room (shepherds hut) was great just the right size for two of us and the hot tub was huge. We didn’t need to ask for anything but saw the staff at the other huts and lodges cleaning etc, always very chatty when we saw them. Location was a little bit difficult to find but once there we were fine. Very close to Elan Valley and we had a view of one of the dams from out hut which was beautiful. All in all we had a great stay."

"The whole site is very quiet, which I really loved. It feels safe and is perfect for families. The caravan was clean and a good size for a family of four. The extractor fan wasn’t working, but we still managed fine and could get rid of the cooking smells (while cooking) by airing the caravan. My only criticism would be the beach. "Top notch place to stay, but what makes it special is the bucolic environment within which it sits. Drinks and dinner across the narrow road, with waiting staff navigating the occasional logging truck is not something you see everyday, made for a very memorable summer evening."

"Absolutely amazing place .. great food.. lovely staff..the guy at the front of the house who worked the bar and breakfasts was so nice.... a true gentleman made everyone feel welcome.. the rooms were fantastic with air conditioning ..we had an apartment with all the cooking things available if we wanted to cook for ourselves but we had breakfast included and then self catering .parking is provided free in a nearby carpark. The hotel is situated in the centre of Barmouth but it was still very quiet ..it's a five minute walk from the beach and there's loads of restaurants and bars nearby some are dog friendly. All in all it was one of the best break aways that we'd ever had .. Barmouth is such a wonderful place it has everything you need for a holiday ..beaches ...gift shops.. history ... Country walks..good railway and transport links..and very close to Snowdonia with river walks and hidden rock pools . The only downside is that we didn't stay long enough !!..but we've booked in again for next year it was that good 👍👍"
