This was a GREAT small hotel (16 rooms). The staff was amazing and the location was perfect for us. Room service breakfast every day was terrific. Get a room with a balcony if you can :-)
Exceptional little boutique hotel. Wonderful friendly helpful staff! Large beautiful comfortable rooms. Lovely breakfast served daily either in the charming patio area or in your room. Excellent walkable neighborhood with great shops and restaurants. Highly recommended
The hotel and staff were amazing. The hotel is new and modern and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The breakfast is fresh and delicious and the downstairs lounge offers a fun space to have a drink and relax. Would give more than 5 stars it that was an option.
A near perfect hotel. Comfortable room, fantastic coffee, and helpful staff. The morning breakfast featuring phenomenal pastries and their excellent coffee truly sets this place apart.

The staff and hotel are fantastic! One of the nicest boutique hotels we’ve ever stayed at.
We had an incredible week long stay at Colima 71. The staff were very attentive to anything we needed and were always a step ahead in helping us. The location is perfect and we had no problems getting to any of our plans across CDMX.
Fabulous in every way. Beautiful boutique design hotel in a hip neighborhood next to many shops and restaurants, staff was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious and rooms were very spacious and beautifully designed.
Colima 71 was a quiet refuge in a very buzzy, cool neighborhood. Minimalist, chic and spacious rooms. Easy walking to fabulous restaurants and bars and chic boutiques. Service was very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfasts were fabulous, especially the perfectly fresh fruit.
Spacious studio was a great home-base in vibrant Roma Norte and the terrace was a “window on the world” outside. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast in our room each day started the day on the right note. Recommended!
Our stay at Colima 71 was excellent. The hotel was clean and beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly and attentive. It's in a very walkable area near great shopping and restaurants. And the provided breakfast was a surprising highlight! It was amazing to have fresh pastries from Rosetta every day without having to wait in line.
Colima 71 is a gem in the heart of Roma Norte (an up-and-coming/hip neighborhood of Mexico City. It's in close proximity to some of the top restaurants and bars. The hotel is also close to some shops and lovely cafes. The staff is incredible and friendly, the hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are spacious with balconies...perfect for a night cap or to have your breakfast....which is included as part of your stay. We can't wait to come back!!
This hotel over delivered in every way. Excellent friendly service. Only 16 rooms modern boutique hotel. Large room and balcony, soft comfortable bed, sheets and pillows . Large frig, spacious bathroom. Breakfast and coffee excellent. Great hip neighborhood with restaurants and shopping in Roma Norte
Booked Colima 71 for our 15th anniversary and every aspect of the hotel and the service was outstanding.
Super clean, modern, spacious room. Great coffee (thx Martin!), and we looked forward to our breakfast every morning on the balcony. And it comes with pastries from panderia Rosetta, so no need to wait in line in the morning!
Overall fantastic
Colima 71 is charming and serene. The modern, artistic decor to the aromatherapy scents and music playing transports you to a place of peace and happiness. The rooms are far more chic than what appears in pictures. And the bed is incredibly comfortable. One of the best we have had in all our travels. And this location is perfect. Down a colorful, popular street in Roma Norte but away from the noise and crowds. Very walkable.
As many have mentioned, the breakfast is truly outstanding. I will miss the green salsa chicken tamales and the guava roll the most!
Best of all, the staff is warm, helpful and so polite. And they all speak English so well! They responded to WhatsApp texted before our trip and throughout to help us with suggestions and requests.
While there are some minor service misses (late breakfast, missing freshen of bathroom amenities), they are overshadowed by how amazing this staff is overall.
Liked - the aesthetic is beautiful. Room is spacious and well laid out. Towels and robes are fluffy. Wifi worked well. Breakfast (pastries from Rosetta Panaderia!) was well prepared. Staff was friendly. Location - for us, anyway - was ideal.
Didn't care for - the surprise $40/night service charge for...no idea on arrival. As breakfast and wifi are included and there are no spa/sauna/fitness center on site, its unclear what you're paying for. Wasn't explained by Expedia or the hotel in advance of arrival.
It’s an interesting concept which makes sense most of the time. Definitely cosy with personable staff. However a few suggestions based on my own experience:
1. Interactions with team were not easy or confusing prior to arriving. I requested two things in an email which did not receive a reply. When u did find the WhatsApp number, I was told to call the hotel when they could have sent all of the info in WhatsApp, which was about airport transfers and activities. I finally got transfers confirmed but nothing on activities. The team had them and provided only after u checked in. 2. The room service menu is limited and focused too much on seafood and Mexico City is not coastal. Also it’s just an overpriced GrubHub or food delivery system and food was usually cold. I would rethink this. 3. You can hear people next door and on the upper floor. Maybe think about adding carpeting or something. 4. It’s difficult to eat with wooden utensils - seams cool and looks cool but not at all functional. Maybe focus more on guest experience rather than trying to be too cool. I had a great mescal ‘lesson’ from Talia and was well received by Marcello.
This hotel is simply the best. I’ve been traveling to Mexico City for many years and I am so happy to have found this beautiful property. Everything about it is amazing: Perfect location, best design and architecture. Can’t wait to be back!!
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Roma Norte, a few minutes away from all the amazing restaurants.
The hotel staff was, at all times, warm and friendly.
The hotel pays a beautiful tribute to Mexican architecture, art and interior design.
The studios are very spacious, anyone could live there for years!!
I am so happy to have a new home in CDMX
