"I stay at this hotel everytime I visit! The staff is soo friendly and ready to help in anyway they can. The hot breakfast bar changes every morning and is delectable. I would recommend this place to anyone!"
"The hotel has significant grounds around it and there are lots of birds. It is just outside Arusha and so much quieter and clean air, there is a lawn and pool and tables to relax and socialize while taking in a great view of Mt Meru and all the birds. The staff are all so so happy and friendly and the place is kept immaculate, with cleaning and gardening work. The food was also excellent - flavourful and well prepared. There were locals coming on weekends for family celebrations. The...
"We stayed there for a night after our safari as we were flying the next day. It’s ok for an overnight stay. Rooms are fine, not the best but good for the price. It’s just not an hotel to stay in for the day. We had to stay longer as our flight was late afternoon the next day. But you can see that they dont usually get people staying more than the night. They didn't have much on the lunch menu available. The lunch we ordered was very basic (pizza) too long to get it and when we got our food, it...
"We stayed at Tumaini Home Stay for a short visit during our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect. Andy was an incredible host—his flawless English and warm personality made us feel right at home.
He went above and beyond to make our stay special, offering excellent local knowledge and being incredibly accommodating to our needs. Andy’s helpfulness and genuine care truly set this experience apart.
Our only regret is not staying one night. We wholeheartedly recommend Tumaini Home Stay to...

When you pay the bills for diner or lunch, pay with Tanzanian shillings or by credit card in Tanzanian shilling. Dont pay in USD, the conversion rate they use is not fair. We saved 15$ USD by paying credit card instead of USD cash price he was giving us.
The rooms are clean enough, they could have clean the windows outside as it was very dirty, but for the price we paid we didn’t mind it. We are not very picky on these things. "
"This is a great hotel right in the middle of Arusha. Good breakfast, spacious rooms and a big beautiful garden to wander through. Take advantage of happy hour in the Hatari Bar.
A few notes: Arusha is a busy, noisy city and you're right in the middle of it. Don't expect rooms near the road to be quiet. Doesn't bother us as we live in a busy city, but might bother you if you're not used to it. The front desk will arrange a driver for you to take you wherever you need to go, but there are a few decent coffeeshops/restaurants you can walk to, as well."
"Our stay was amazing. Lucie and staff made sure we were well looked after each night we stayed between our Safari and trek. Rooms are a great size, clean and comfortable. Food and service was amazing. The location is a little remote, but this is the appeal, quiet and the surroundings are perfect to sit back and relax. Thanks for a great stay!"
"The grounds and villas are lovely and it's obvious alot of thought has gone into the design. The restaurant area is a complete contrast to the ambiance of the villas. It is open concept and quite institutional looking and we felt we were eating at a cafeteria. There is noise from the surrounding neighbourhood (sounded like a disco/club), which was disappointing given the amazing views from this property. We ordered room service and had the breakfast. The veggie sandwich and soup were quite good but the burger had an overwhelming taste of whatever grain is used to bind ingrédients. Breakfast was mediocre and cafeteria style. "
