I booked for three nights but left after two. It was very basic budget accommodation and that was fine - financially it was a good deal. However, the hotel is situated on Bathurst Street, which is one of the city's traffic sewers. The windows are originals and provide no protection from noise. Hence I was awoken by very loud trucks both mornings at 4 am and could not go back to sleep. There should be a curfew on the wretched things but that's another story. The hotel should, however, provide ear plugs. I went elsewhere for my final night in the city.

Overall a very comfortable stay, however it was quite noisy with traffic noise and other guests I the hallway. Staff were excellent, rooms clean and beds very comfortable.

The owner was very friendly and helpful with ideas for travelers.

The property was lovely, however, and this is not a criticism of the hotel or the staff, but be aware with wooden floors, guests coming back after midnight can be heard coming in and walking around. They provided me with the soy milk for my coffee that I had requested, and Pia, the hotel staff member could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Plenty of parking, warm and comfortable room. It is a good walking distance down to the main shopping areas, but that only helps build up an appetite for dinner :)
