This hotel was great, location was perfect, close to everything like plaza grande and Avenida Montejo. Rooms were spacious and clean, and ac worked well. Pool was nice and had plenty of lounge chairs. Cute little cat on premises I think her name is Mona. Restaurant at the hotel was not that great but there is plenty of restaurants walking distance.

The rooms are could be cleaned better. Hair in places that was there when we got there. Sun flower seeds on the floor and the towels and linens often had holes. I killed a few bugs and they were never take care of for the week we were there. I will keep going back becuase I like the location and the price but the room cleanliness is not that awesome.

Hotel location is fantastic, central to walk throughout the city. Staff are somewhat friendly and helpful. My major issue with Casa Del Balam is that they don't realize half their guests are female. No conditioner in the showers, only shampoo, not a single hand towel, only 3 hangers in the closet, rough especially considering there are no shelves, dressers or drawers. If I'm staying for 5 days I don't want to live out of a suitcase.
