"We enjoyed our stay at the Waterside Hotel. Parking in the basement was easy with lifts to all floors. The room was good, spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only grumbles would be that it was difficult getting into the bath tub to have a shower and there was no fridge in the room."

"The majority of the staff were fabulous, really great customer care - especially the gentleman on Reception who checked us in, the lady behind the bar when we went down for our breakfast in the morning, the Chef at the carvery and I wish I got his name, but the guy that looked after us so much during our evening meal - he went above & beyond! The only reason I didn't give the staff full stars was due to 1 person who we found rude, abrupt and she totally forgot to order my Husband's drink at the bar. Luckily, the guy that had been looking after us asked my Husband why he didn't have a drink as he brought mine over and rectified the situation immediately."

"On the plus side, the staff are all very friendly and went out of their way to help. I was upgraded to a double room, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel peaceful. There was a bath and a shower provided en-suite. On the downside, the decor is very dated. However, it is perfectly acceptable for a short stay. The bath tap seemed to run out of hot water after a few minutes, resulting in a shallow bath water level. Overall, I like this hotel. It is the second time I have stayed and I would stay again."
