Loved our stay. The owners were very responsive & the home was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable & we enjoyed the outdoor showers after beach time.
We had an excellent stay. The home is private, very quiet and just off the pc1 with easy access to Mendocino. Had everything we needed and more. Highly recommended.
We really loved the cottage, from the beautiful setting to the many thoughtful details inside. We had cool weather and the gas heater worked wonders. The guest book with history of this hand-built cabin was fascinating, and the owners greeted us warmly when we arrived. A perfect stay.
Peaceful cottage. Very relaxing and comfortable. Our host, Jake, was very friendly and helpful with any questions and concerns that we had. No complaints and this property is highly recommended. We would stay here again.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at the cottage. Clean and quiet, amazing star-gazing. Very comfortable in all respects and great location. Not to be missed: the outdoor shower. It was early March, so I was dubious, but SO glad I got over that! The water pressure and temperature were amazing -- it was an experience that will stay in my memory for a long time, especially since my husband took pictures that will make it into our annual photo book!! That was a strategically placed rhododendron! We highly recommend this property if you want to enjoy hiking the Mendocino headlands and the redwood forests, plus eating at all of the wonderful restaurants of Mendocino area.
This property is a gem. So secluded and quaint. Well appointed but not overdone. The outside shower was a little scary at first but once I was under the trees in that very private shower enclosure I was HOOKED. It was awesome. Took a nice long soak in the claw foot tub. Plenty of hot water for a cabin and the temperature controls and kitchen amenities are updated. The owners were on site but gave us complete privacy. Thank you Jake and Lindy, was a true gift to spend our anniversary in your cabin. ♥️
I visited this charming cabin with a dear friend from college who just finished five months of chemo. She is still immuno-compromised; we were looking for a restful stay near Mendocino where we could mostly cook in house and take side trips as her energy permitted.
This charming cabin midway between Mendocino and Fort Bragg was perfect. Lovely tranquil setting and the ability to walk directly out into the Jackson Forest from the property. Tasteful decor, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a large and luxurious bathroom with a clawfoot tub. All impeccably clean. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and a basket of snacks, a nice touch that we really appreciated. And the hosts immediately answered our one minor question.
The cabin is peacefully secluded but only minutes from both Mendocino & Fort Bragg. We bought organuc vegetables from Corner of the Mouth in Mendo & fresh fish from Princess Seafood in Fort Bragg & cooked in the cabin.
A delightful stay! Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

Loved the house! Perfect for small family. My wife and I stayed there and we loved the trees outside and also the outdoor showers. Will definitely be visiting again soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed the secluded beauty of this property. The hosts, Jake and Lindy, were helpful when we had questions, and the information packet about the property and local activities and restaurants was great. We could walk to endless hiking trails in the Jackson Demonstration Forest. Mendocino county is spectacular.
This quiet and cozy setting in the forest provided a wonderfully restful experience. The cottage is well-stocked, clean and beautifully built. The furnishings are very comfortable. The owners obviously put much love and attention to every detail which makes this rental our most favorite ever. The outdoor showers were unique and fun. The location is amazing, being between Mendocino and Fort Bragg, so we could explore both areas easily. We would love to visit again.
Great property, super clean and secluded. Loved the time there with my wife, was surprised to see that we could ride to some amazing mountain and gravel bike trails directly from the cabin. Can’t recommend enough for hikers or bikers.
The property is tucked away and secluded. While we didn’t directly interact with the hosts, they were gracious and attentive, providing a welcome basket of small snacks and taking care to make sure the cabin had all the amenities to facilitate a relaxing stay. The beds were comfortable and the atmosphere relaxing. The property is directly adjacent to a state park with a select variety of trails, and a short drive to the ocean and nearby towns. I highly recommend it for a cozy getaway.
So glad we chose this property! The owners are great and the cabin is just the right size and location. It has everything you need to make you feel comfortable and right at home.
