The rooms are really nice and the views are great, the food in the pub downstairs is extremely good. The only down side is no lift so you have to carry bags up the stairs but the stay is worth it

The Slate was a great find. It is a small establishment with a small number of rooms, a bar and restaurant. It is quite new and in excellent condition set in a very green, quite location. I found the room to be very comfortable and well-furnished but the highlight would have to be the bar with its friendly staff and guests and a good selection of beers, wines etc, and truly excellent food. Thoroughly recommended!

Enjoyed 4 day stay here. With a car is convenient to Mt Snowden railway and various areas of northern Wales. Had a comfortable but slightly cramped room, very clean and quiet.
A highlight was the great food and good - breakfast and dinner. Staff very friendly and attentive.

It was heavenly. Perfectly located in the centre of town and close to everything. The room possessed the charm of the old building but with modern luxuries. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast set you up for the day. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else the next time I visit.

We stayed here for 2 nights, we wish we'd booked for longer on our trip around Wales. Great central location for trips to Conwy, Anglesey, Caernafon, Zip World & Eryri National Park. The included breakfast was good and our room was absolutely beautiful and very spacious with lovely views. The windows all open wide so plenty of fresh air. This is a great little family-run place, super central to the train station and ferry port. The family who owns it also cooks up Vietnamese dinners, and honestly, it was the best Vietnamese food we've ever tasted. Highly recommend a stay here!
