The Carriage House Inn’s, The Rider’s Den, located on the National Historic registered Shaver House estate is a favorite among guests for its cozy and private garden setting. Follow the meandering stone path through the garden, past the fountain and enjoy the sounds of nature. Guests will enjoy their own private sitting area overlooking the acre of the historic estate. . Amenities include: outside dining area, hammock and access to the stone cobbled fire pit (marshmallow roast and bon-fire set-up available upon request, fee to be applied).

Exactly as advertised. No other guests on property while I was staying, but there’s a very peaceful and pretty garden adjacent to the unit as well as a nice water feature in front.

Always a pleasure

I have to travel to Mena for work and it is always a pleasure staying here. I recommend this perfect spot to anyone coming up to explore Mena's quaint town or use it as a central location for Jeep/ATV rides.

Wonderful place! First time to stay in Rider’s Den Cottage. My husband worked from there on Friday, & was able to sit out on the patio and enjoy the beautiful Spring weather, & the chickens visited while he worked! So fun!

Lovely stay

It rained and all our plans got changed but we really enjoyed the little place we stayed. Host was super friendly. Little Italy II was an excellent place to eat in town. We will definitely be back.

Very nice little cabin

This is our second time staying at this property. It's very clean and nice. And the property owners always leave a couple chocolate chip cookies. We will be staying here any time we come back to Mena

We stay here every time we visit family in Mena.

Cold air and a dehumidifier makes staying here a treat in the Arkansas heat! Always clean and comfortable. Oh and the Cookies are a great surprise!

Hidden gem in Mena

This was a pleasant surprise very close to downtown. Property was quaint & felt very private with the beautiful large trees & multiple seating areas. Loved the chickens in the garden area. We will be back, with friends!!

Wonderful Place!

The Ridere Den was wonderful and charming. The bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. There were fresh cookies on the table. We loved wafching yhe chickens, goldfish in thr little fountain pond and squirrels while sitting in the yard. We definitely will be back.

Beautiful property

Everything was just perfect! We stayed in the Riders Den. There was plenty of room for us. It is in a great location. We enjoyed the garden and the girls (chickens!). We will definitely be back. Hosts were a very nice couple! Thanks again for a great time!

Comfortable, Convenient & Cookies

As a Mena native, who comes home occasionally to visit, this property is perfect. With the added ease of multiple rooms on site, everyone was able to be together and yet have privacy. The property is beautiful, quiet and built for quality time together. Check in was as simple as a text message, and there were fresh cookies waiting! The rooms were incredibly comfortable, and a great value for an overnight stay. 13/10 recommend---look forward to staying here again!

Beautiful Property and Room

I loved the feeling of this property and cottage like yard. The room was small but clean and the music playing and homemade cookies waiting for us was a nice touch. There was a small fenced in garden with chickens running around right outside our window, that made it feel homey. There are several other rooms to rent on the property but it still felt secluded. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Great little place

We were hoping to catch the fall foliage but three days of rain and fog meant no scenic views of the mountains. Despite that we still enjoyed our stay. Great little cottage for two. Easy walk to downtown Mena. Beautiful yard and garden - fun watching the chickens. Everything was spotless and all we needed.

Charming Surprise

This cottage was such a charming surprise! The space was clean and updated and well taken care of. Perfect for my overnight stay! There were chocolate chip cookies waiting for me and the nicest classical music playing as I entered the space. The outside area was picture esque and I may have snapped a few pics to brag to co-workers! Will def. Stay here again when in the area!
