Cute Bedroom on Historic House Grounds
We stayed 1 night in this unit at the historic Shaver House in Mena, AR. It was super cute and great for a 1-night stay. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious - especially warmed up a little in the microwave! The unit is in a shed-type building in the backyard of this restored historic home. It is essentially a bedroom (with a microwave, minifridge, coffeemaker and TV) and a bathroom. There is not a lot of room to move around inside the shed. The outside area is fantastic - a big fire pit, seating, and hammocks. But I think it is a stretch to describe this unit as a "farmhouse cottage".

Pleasantly Surprised!
The property is super cute. When we got to the property we were walking through many other cabins/bungalows and the path led us to a large shed. I was a little concerned because I didn't think we had reserved a shed and at first thought, "Oh no, I can't stay in a shed." But then, we opened the door and it was awesome! It was so cute and cozy, like a tiny house and didn't feel at all like you were in a shed. I was so shocked you could fit so much inside! It was done up very nicely inside - with background music playing and cookies! The bed was super comfortable as well! It made us consider building one on our property for family and guests! There was a large fire pit area and ax throwing right outside. I can imagine it would be lively in the summer. There is also a good steakhouse down the street and some beautiful churches in the neighborhood. We would've been happy to stay more than the one night we reserved and will be more than happy to stay there again.

Always a peaceful stay!
Stay on the property often for work trips and would love to go back with my family or group of girlfriends to really enjoy the area. This rental and the other VRBO's on the Carriage House property is great! Always clean and easily accessible. Will always stay here and recommend!

Quaint cottage, quiet area. Cottage was as described. Comfortable bed. Good bathroom set up. Appreciated the bigger mini fridge with a freezer to refreeze ice packs. Downtown Mena in walking distance. Enjoyed sitting out and listening to the birds. Overall an enjoyable stay. Would recommend!

Small little cottage on the back of the property had an awesome bed and that’s the most important thing! It was clean, good coffee for the keurig and fresh delicious cookies when we arrived. The cottage was very small and not much room for suitcases but it was perfect for a stop and the grounds were landscaped beautifully.

Charming Nature Getaway Without Leaving Town
The property exceeded expectations. Photos do not do it justice! Beautiful landscaping and gardening creates a nature getaway in the middle of Mena. Chickens roamed free and peaches were begging to be picked from the tree near the Farm House where my mother and I stayed. We enjoyed walking around the yard and found the space very well kept. The chickens were never bothersome. Inside, the Farm House had just enough room for two people to move around comfortably. I was really surprised how well the owners utilized the space! Great bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Waiting for. my mother and I on the dresser were freshly baked cookies and a great guide to the property and the city of Mena. I cannot recommend this place enough!

This place is amazing! Very clear and easy to follow communication. Amazing bed! Perfect amount of space for 2. We stayed in the farmhouse and it’s really cute. So many neat snd thoughtful extras, you can tell this is run by someone who travels. The property is great! Enjoyed our morning coffee outside by the fire pit listening to the gurgle of the pond and chickens possible having a conversation with a rooster somewhere off in the distance. Loved so much I’d love to come back for a weekend!

Mena’s gem
We could not have been happier with our stay here. The rooms are fantastic and the garden spectacular. The best part though was our hosts were “just right”. If you ever get the chance to see Scott’s band, “Brothers and Sons”, don’t miss it. They are talented, humble, and gracious in their space. Can’t wait to go back! We may just have to move to Mena!

This cozy cabin is a gem! We arrived late and left early, checking in and out was a breeze. We received detailed instructions on where to park and how to access the Farm House. We walked in to a well appointed, comfortable room with a few extras. The soothing music and fresh cookies were a wonderful touch! I read where someone else mentioned having a chair would be nice, oddly enough my husband said the same thing. It would not stop us from booking again, it was a darling place.

Wonderful Hospitality!
Our stay was delightful,, as was our host. The grounds were inviting and we loved the chickens roaming the gardens...we even met the turtle living under our porch! The park was just a short walk and downtown just a little further. Will stay again!

We stayed in the 'Farmhouse', and it's a great little cottage! We didn't mind the size at all...nice and cozy with all of the amenities. Only drawback on this stay was the Wifi wasn't working...the owner tried to resolve it, but couldn't in the end (may have been due to the high winds being experienced that day and night?)...that the only reason for not getting 5 stars. Anyways, we would definitely stay again! (and while in town, peek in the windows of the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Studebaker garage...oh my gosh, how I wish I coulda went inside to see the beautifully restored cars!)

Best Place to Stay in Mena
Asley and Scott are incredible hosts. Their home and rooms are beautiful, clean, comfortable with everything we needed. The fire pit was perfect. The best thing about our trip was having to stay another night in Mena. Ashley was more than accommodating to let us stay at in the Carriage House at a last minute notice. Thank you again Ashley and Scott.

The Cool place where you never expected
Scott and Ashley put together A really amazing place. The night entertainment is really off the chart! Scott once again did he ax throwing demonstration and flaming sword Hawaiian luau set up. I’m constantly concerned if he’s going to burn himself yet he always seems to miss the flame or a blade. There was the time where he did torch the backyard a little bit, but that is to be expected. My room was really cool and I had a view of all the night activities from my room, So there is no chance of me getting burned. Of course all the above is a bunch of nonsense but it makes for a really great story when somebody begins to read the review. I truly enjoyed my time with them and they were both really great hosts. They thought of everything when it comes to taking care of my experience with them. Looking forward to coming back in town soon
