"Nice enough hotel but a bit dated and casually run. Staff mere friendly enough and nice but had a bit of an amateur feel."

"This is a superb place to stay and easy to get to Melton Mowbray, Oakham and Rutland Water. The rooms were very clean and tidy, with a large comfy bed. I had my coffee outside in the little private courtyard, which was very relaxing. The owners left some yummy cakes and fresh fruit for us which we very much appreciated. Lots of hot drink choices and the little kitchen was a real treat too. We will be booking again."

"We had a great stay at The Stables. Eloise was very helpful and we loved the local map in the cottage with suggestions of things to do and good places to eat. Wouldn't hesitate to book again if we are in that area."

"The cottage has a open plan, it had a large stunning wood burning stove ,with wood mantelpiece and bricks, Kitchen with a island table with plenty cupboards space , with pots and pans , Dishes glasses, oven, microwave, hob coffee maker ,toaster and a kettle, Kings size bed ,two bedrooms both with ensuite bathroom, dining area They have thought of everything, from cleaning materials to towels hoover and floor mop , place is impeccable very clean , welcome basket with wine and biscuits. The place overlooks the stunning views of the farm land ,you can watch the sunset and sunrise! Nothing is too much for the landlords they go that extra mile, I most certainly recommended this place , you would need a car as it is about 3miles from the town centre. In melton mowbray, "

"This is a stunning property in a wonderful rural location, in driving distance to lots of attractions. The house is huge - but it's decor and the feel are comfortable and comforting. The real open fires were very welcome addition during our February stay, and I've honestly never slept so well. There is everything you could need in the kitchen, big fridge freezer, big range cooker, dishwasher - all the pans, crockery etc. There isn't a hairdryer provided, and when we were there the iron didn't work, but those are minor details!
