Modern 2-storey townhouse in fashionable Kensington across from the Flemington racecourse and a stones throw from the Showgrounds. The property with heritage listed brickwork of old has ONE Queen bedroom and ONE Double bedroom, reverse-cycle aircon, central heating and a courtyard in a leafy and serene neighbourhood dotted by parks and ovals. The house is equipped to cook your own meals or bake a cake for yourself our your guestsb. We are close to Victoria University, the South Kensington and Newmarket train stations (3 stops to Melbourne CBD), parks and the tranquil Maribyrnong River. Coles and Woolworth are a quick drive or a short walk away as are upmarket shopping and dining. Racecourse Road, about 10-15 minutes walk away, has a good concentration of fine restaurants and pubs such as Laksa King, Chef Lagenda, M Yong Tofu, Pacinos Italian and much more. Macaulay Street, where a cluster of very interesting and captivating local shops are concentrated at Kensington Village, is a 5 minute drive via Epsom Road. Footscray, a 10 minute drive away, has the best Vietnamese food and the Saigon Freshfood Market is a must visit. You'll find all manner of seafoods, meats, fruits and vegetables there and the atmosphere is unbelievably electrifying. Check out the bakeries for the best pastries and baguettes, including durian cakes and ice-creams if you so wish. Highpoint Shopping Centre where Myer, Big W, Target and a host of upmarket shops are located about 5 minutes from Footscray.

The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Downstairs has a well-appointed living area as well as kitchenette, laundry alcove, toilet and garage. Upstairs has two bedrooms and a bathroom. A little more sparsely appointed, but the beds were comfortable and the bedrooms not at all cramped. The location suited us well, close to parks, walkways, restaurants and cafes. Very happy with our stay, would definitely stay here again.

It was nice having the whole property to ourselves. The price point was brilliant as well. The rooms were neat and tidy. The blinds may need a slight upgrade as it was quite light in some of the rooms from the lights surrounding the apartment. Close to an IGA and a few fast food places. The property was right next to a petrol station and a main road, which didn't bother us.Only a 20 min walk to a train station that was 2 stops into CBD. Would definitely stay again!!
