Family wedding stay

Lovely house with spectacular views. Only stayed two nights to attend a family wedding in the valley. An extended stay would be very relaxing

Family Gathering

Beautiful property, fantastic location, ideal space for family to gather to attend wedding. Accommodated a large family of four generations perfectly. Greatly appreciative of the opportunity to experience such a unique space.

Multi generational family getaway

Large property, easily accessible, suitable for all age ranges. Many gathering spaces inside & out, very well equipped kitchen for self catering, we loved the wide verandah which was a great space from which to watch the rain pour down!! Once the fog cleared we could appreciate the magnificent natural surroundings, including kangaroos & the stunning cliffs.

A quiet relaxing space

My family and I spent 3 days at Glyn Newydd and came away very relaxed after out stay. The owners have created a beautiful home set amidst stunning scenery. Magical!

Dog friendly property with fabulous view

Beautiful mountain views in dinning, sitting area and from bedrooms' window doors. Getting close to wild animals including kangaroos, ducks, farm horses, etc. Dog friendly house setting allows the whole family enjoy the trip including our pets.

Megalong Valley Family Escape

This is the fourth time our family has stayed at GlynNewydd for our Winter escape. Cosy fires on long, lazy afternoons, wonderful views from the verandah, checking out the Milky Way at night. We love it there!

Perfect Christmas

Brand new kitchen to prepare my Chrissy dinner. Dog had a ball as did the family. Quick response to queries from owners, gorgeous facilities in a gorgeous location. Loved the isolation.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We were very happy. The homestead and cottage had such a wonderful cosy feel and we woke up to see wallabies and ducks swimming on the dam. The main house was well fitted with everything you could need.

Beautiful location and lots of space.

The accommodation is huge, as is the property itself. We loved the location as we were a short drive from an entry to the six foot track. Favourite parts included the fire pit overlooking the property, the friendly horses and being able to connect to the sonos speakers in the main homestead.

It was very comfortable and cosy. The views from this property were to die for Would return and there were so many different birds. The 2 horses were very friendly and lots of kangaroos. This is an excellent place for children

Perfect Winter Getaway

GlynNewydd has become our family's first choice for our annual family Winter getaway. The location is beautiful with awesome views, plenty of space for young, older and the furbabies. The house & cottage are well appointed and have everything we need. We also get to take home some locally produced olive oil which is a bonus!

A real farm stay experience

Great views, especially from the front porch. Friendly horses that love an apple or a carrot. Modest but comfortable accomodation. Needs a proper functioning oven in the main homestead.

Relaxing Retreat !

Glyn Newwyd is the most relaxing place to stay in Megalong Valley. We have been there a few times now and will keep going back. The beautiful breathtaking views are forever changing and if you are as lucky as we were on the weekend, we got rain, snow and sunshine ! Just spectacular. The house is equiped with everything that you need, just bring your food, wine and chill out. Highly recommend a stay here.

Best Christmas

Stunning, breathtaking location. We arrived a few days before Christmas and had a lovely, restful time. Well equipped house, with everything we needed. Clean and comfortable, with many spaces to relax and enjoy the environment. Half an hour to Blackheath, with a lovely, picturesque drive. Loved the cafe and vineyard nearby. My father described the week as his most memorable Christmas.

Wedding Party

Nine of us, excited to be guests at a wedding at the Megalong Community Hall, fitted easily into the homestead and cottage, rapt that our wheelchair bound member had acceptable access, though not perfect.. very few places are, unfortunately. We enjoyed shared meals and relaxing on the verandah, being wowed by the magnificent beauty of the land. And the wedding was beautiful too. Beds were great, everything great. Thanks so much, we loved our stay 😊

Beautiful quiet amazing view

Beautiful old house well restored. Amazing outlook- we wished we could have relaxed more but were busy with preparations for our daughter's wedding. Well equipped and handy to have extra space available. Great fire , furniture..loved the verandah and view. Would have liked a regular oven.

Stunning view

We were attending the wedding of our son at a local winery. The most important criteria were enough bedrooms and bathrooms and proximity to the wedding venue. These were all fulfilled, plus a good size kitchen, living and dining spaces. But we were blown away by the spectacular view from most of the bedrooms, living spaces and massive wrap-around verandah (which also had plenty of seating for relaxing and dining). This was great for having extended family over for dinner on 2 of the nights. We had a wonderful stay. Communications were fast and the hosts, very kindly, gave us an earlier check-in. I appreciate this is not always possible when turning over bookings so we were very grateful.

The property is in a beautiful position with a wonderful view of the valley. We found the house as described and very well equipped. The only issue we had was the oven in the cabin. While trying to cook a roast the oven kept turning off because the trip switch activated. Even when on it was very unreliable. Despite that we really enjoyed our weekend.
