False Advertising
Unfortunately, we have had a very disappointing experience while staying at this VRBO. While the house itself is comfortable and we have found no issues internally, the rest of the amenities listed are 100% considered as false advertisement. The locations name says it has a “pool and hot tub” which is why we picked this location specifically. However, the listing doesn’t mention that the pool is completely unusable and unsanitary. We had kids excited to jump into the pool after an almost 5 hour drive over, as that is what was expected and paid for, but was completely unsafe and unsanitary when we arrived. It is green with algae, filled with debris and in complete disarray. The next concern we had was for the other guests that are staying on site. This is listed as a private rental, which was another amenity my family was willing to pay extra for to avoid needing a hotel. However, other guests arrived that are also staying in the garage on site. This was NOT advertised as a shared property. After talking with these other guests later, they were also told they would have a private stay with “private access” to the pool and hot tub as well. What if we all wanted to use it at the same time?? This is NOT a private amenity. The cameras surrounding the property facing the hot tub were also greatly concerning, as we had originally thought these could be owned by the other renters and could be their personal video cameras recording our children playing in swimsuits.
