Such a cute little cabin!
Good people! Awesome little dog..bring him a toy and he will be your best friend! Loved the donkeys, goats, peacocks and ducks! If you’re looking for a place off the beaten path to hunt or fish, definitely check it out! Will definitely be going back!

My son and I stayed here for our 2023 hunting trip. It was perfect for the two of us. Any more people may be tight as the place is small. Beware if you are tall, the doorway is low! Ask me how I found out.....twice! Owner Dallas was very helpful and met us each day to see if we needed anything. When my son was successful on his hunt, Dallas was ready to help any way he could. If we hunt the area again, this will be first on our list of places to stay.

One of my best stays, was exactly what we were looking for Dallas,Sue and Finn were the best ! Enjoyed every minute of or stay with them ! The property was beautiful and am hoping to return !

Dallas was a great host and the cabin and grounds were immaculate. The cabin is nicely decorated with a good heater and includes nice touches like DVDs, a tv, a grill, fire pit and wi-fi. There aren’t many restaurants nearby so it is good to have an oven/stove, coffee pot, microwave, etc. I would suggest bringing slip on shoes to use when making a trip to the bathroom in the barn just to make life easier. The property has goats, ducks, a donkey, peacocks, and a cute dog named Finn. The place is located about 20-30 mins from Hocking Hills hiking destinations and about 10 minutes from Lake Hope, and down the street from Zaleski State Forest.

Best VRBO Stay in years
We stayed a few nights at Dallas’s cabin and it was genuinely one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in a long time. He’s incredibly kind and supplies everything you could need, exceptional cleanliness, and even offers kayak rentals. Getting to feed the farm animals was something I did not expect but was a very welcome addition, as was sitting outside with Finn the dog. If I could rate the stay over 5 stars I would. Genuinely incredible location.

Super cozy cabin with everything you could ever need. From plenty of dvds to choose from after a long day out, to animals off all sorts that love attention. The family dog Fin is a blast to play with and the hosts are down to earth people that are some of the most respectful company I’ve met in a while. I could not ask for anything more.

Farmlife Getaway
This place was pretty awesome! Very nice and clean cabin. Provided a lot of essentials needed for cooking and cleaning. We really enjoyed getting to play with Finn! Great dog! We also enjoyed the peacocks, goats, and donkeys. It was fun getting to feed and pet them. Caught quite a few fish in the pond! So peaceful walking around on the property. The owner Dallas and his wife were very hospitable and kind. We would definitely go back!

Hosts was very helpful and friendly. We loved all tge animals on the property. The only thing i didn't like was the bathroom was in another location and not in the cabin and this was hard on me because I get up so many times at night to go to the bathroom. Other than that it was nice and peaceful.

Great hospitality, very relaxing
We had a great experience at the cabin Our stay was centred around whitetail hunting and taking advantage of the state land adjacent to Dallas’s 56 acres . Dallas went far beyond what one would expect to help us with or needs. Also a great family spot as the farm has many interesting and friendly animals. By the end of our stay we gained a friend in Dallas and looking forward to our next stay.

The property and host Dallas were awesome! We went with our adult kids, and it was a great holiday get a way! We enjoyed the coziness of the cabin and it had everything we needed! The animals were awesome to have around, and even got some fishing in! Would go again for sure!

Beautiful anniversary nature getaway
Nice get away from the city life. Very nice & welcoming hosts. Property was exactly as listed. Internet was great. A lot of activities nearby. Bring extra snacks to treat the goats & donkeys! Waking up to peacocks on the porch was so lovely for our anniversary date out. The pond has plenty of fish, we caught a few each. Beautiful cabin! Beautiful farm! We loved every minute, & will be returning!

Quiet and secluded
We had a great stay at the property. Cabin was just the right size for us and the property borders Zaleski State Park. Close to lake hope as-we'll. Dallas was a great host, very friendly, helpful, and made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. There's a mention about typical farm noises in the description but the variety of livestock wasn't noisey at all and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The peafowls roaming around was pretty neat too. Nice change of pace and atmosphere.

Little hunters cabin in the middle of everything.
You don’t have service at all, however, if that’s what you are going for, this is great! It’s a nice get away from the city where all the state parks are super close to you so the amount of things you can do is endless. The owner is super nice and will come talk to you about the farm and such. There are peacocks and ducks and donkeys and chicken and ducks! It was a cool experience to wake up and see them walking across the yard in front of the cabin! They also offer a fully stocked pond to fish in (fishing poles already there) and hunting in the private property as well!

We loved staying here! Absolutely beautiful location and had a ball feeding and visiting with all the animals. Goats, donkeys, sheep, pheasants, chickens, ducks oh my. The cabin is adorable! My only small complaint would be the Wi-Fi. It’s almost non existent but we loved being disconnected. But if you want to log on and work you won’t be able too. They have about 250 movies to choose from to watch which was so nice!

It’s a beautiful place. Very relaxing dock to hangout and fish from. There’s a creek as well. Fun watching the animals, and you can interact with some of them as well. Cozy little cabin and clean. Plenty of places near by to hike at, beautiful area all around. Very nice couple, treated us like family. Will definitely go back again.

Greg and Landen. Father and son where like familie, Landen had never been fishing before and when he started catching fish you couldn't keep him away from the pond. We enjoyed having them here.

All the comforts of home.
Mr. And mrs Vance were nothing short of exceptional. Very welcoming and caring and the best hospitality anyone could ask for. It was 10 degrees at night and it was nice and cozy warm. Little kitchen bath shower and any farm animal u could imagine. They surely do have a slice of heaven there. Stay safe and thank u so much again. We hope to be back next year.
