"This is my go to spot when i work in the area. Self service check in, rooms are spacious, walking distance to bars, food, and other options. Lady i talked with was super friendly and took care my stay as i never know if i have to pack up and leave. "
"I didn’t know that there wasn’t an elevator. Although I am handicapped, I usually just get a regular room. I would have requested an accessible room, or at least one on the first floor, had I known. Also, most rooms, even if they aren’t handicapped accessible, have a grab bar or something to hold on to in the shower. This room did not. Again, I know I didn’t request a handicapped room, I just wish I had known about these things (mostly the no elevator) before hand.
With all that being said, the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows and towels. We had no other issues with the room or the whole facility!"
"Surprisingly large apartment. One bathroom - but that was known at booking. Plenty of space to spread out. Big kitchen and coffee area. A/C was fine but spotty as not all rooms had their own window unit. Location was fine close to the big park and main downtown street. This is a quiet town even in the middle of summer. "

"Absolutely stunning location, just steps away from the beach. The cabin itself is larger than I had imagined and while needing some TLC (rescreening a couple of the windows [front door, and right front window], updating/replacing the lazy boy) was perfectly cozy and charming and we loved our 6-day stay.As indicated, the cabin is right on Lake Michigan within a bay. Because the sand bar goes out for more than 100 feet it is absolutely perfect for dogs and kiddos, if you have them :) While there are several cabins along the shore, there are fairly dense woods between them, and during the weekday we rarely saw other folks, which was great for our nervous/reactive dog. Such a tranquil location for all!The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed and we had zero issues with water conservation with just the two of us. On the down side, when it was hot and humid, it was difficult to cool the cabin down with just one box fan and with the windows closed up on our arrival, it was very musty smelling. All said, we would definitely stay here again! The rental company was fantastic to deal with and our check in and communication was flawless.Tips: Bring water shoes! The sand is smooshy pretty far out, and layered with flat shale(?) in other places. Super-interesting geology! The Dairy-Flo in Rapid River had fabulous ice cream and great service and we highly recommend it! Bring cash though, as they don't take plastic."
