"Everything you need is here and the hosts are charming. The pool is more plunge than swimming and the well-equipped apartment is due a redecoration in places. The town doesn't really have any useful dining facilities although there's a high end restaurant nearby."

The property is ideally located for exploring Provence with Arles, St Remy and Salon all within a 30 minute drive and a 50 metre walk to the most wonderful Patisserie! "It is in a great location, just a short walk from the train station as well as various excellent bars, cafes and restaurants. We booked a double room but were not expecting two queen size beds in a very spacious area which included a small living room complete with a sofa and table. The balcony was large with metal chairs and table but, in the sunshine with the temperature sometimes over 35 degrees, a parasol would have been nice. We found on arrival that the door to the balcony would not open but a call to reception produced a fix within only ten minutes. The breakfast choices are extensive but the quality is better than most hotels I have been in across Europe. I have been so used to the slightly industrial taste of orange juice in other hotels that I really appreciated the 100% fresh orange in this hotel - the machine literally squashes an orange for you and you can taste the difference. Without exception, the staff were friendly as well as highly professional. Overall, it offers great value for money and we would definitely go back to this hotel if we ever end up in Avignon again. One thing though: bring a bottle opener! The courtesy bottles of water in the mini bar on arrival had beer-bottle like tops. We didn't have a bottle opener. We soon bought one in Avignon but we encountered during our stay other guests heading for reception bearing unopened water bottles and bemused expressions."
