For added convenience, there is off-street parking for one car, with additional on-street parking available nearby.

With its combination of rustic charm, modern amenities, and prime location, The Barn at Brassington offers the perfect retreat to discover the beauty of Derbyshire.

Guest Access:

The Neighborhood:

The cottage is ideally situated for easy access to local attractions. Brassington itself, with its historical charm, boasts a Norman Church, cosy pubs, and a children’s play area, creating an inviting village atmosphere. Nature lovers will appreciate the abundance of scenic walks that lead into the Peak District National Park, while those seeking a more leisurely pace can enjoy nearby Carsington Water or explore the High Peak Trail right from the doorstep.

In addition to local charm, the cottage’s prime location offers easy access to a range of popular attractions, including Alton Towers, Matlock Farm Park, and Chatsworth House. The nearby towns of Matlock, Ashbourne, Bakewell, and Buxton are also within reach, ensuring that visitors have a wealth of experiences to explore throughout their stay.

Getting Around:

While public transport options in Brassington itself are limited due to its small size and rural location, there are still ways to access nearby towns and attractions. Although Brassington doesn’t have its own bus station, there are bus stops located around the village, and local services connect Brassington to nearby towns and villages. Bus routes from Brassington are often infrequent, but they provide access to Matlock, Wirksworth, and the wider area.

As Brassington is a small village, taxis are one of the more reliable ways to travel to and from the village, particularly if you're traveling with luggage or a group. There are several taxi services in the region that can be booked in advance or hailed locally, the more local companies include Matlock Taxis and Derbyshire Taxis.
