Simple Pleasures at the River
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I had an excellent 2 night stay to celebrate our anniversary! Just what we needed the perfect combination of the beauty of nature, plenty to do outside, peaceful sound of the river, bugs weren’t even too bad for August (we only really noticed at night around lights) and all the comfort of a beautiful brand new cabin with all that we could have needed and more. Pool and game room was fun, cozy couches and bed we slept on was soft and seemed nice and new like everything inside the cabin! Cabin was decorated so cute, loved all the little touches, modern and so clean but perfectly set in nature. Don’t think anyone else was staying at the nearby homes/campers so we had all the privacy on the large property. It was August and hot so we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub or firepit but could really see us going back in the fall or early spring and getting to enjoy those on cooler evenings! Highly recommend and hope to make it back, maybe with the kids next time "

"Booked a cabin and found out there’s 3 different cabins. We were at (BR) Bass Reeves which is the smaller cabin of the 3. Huge bedroom and fully stocked kitchen. Loved that kcups were provided. Bedroom was cozy and the bed was excellent. The light switches are kinda tricky but there’s a big dining table. The chairs are okay. The living room couches are cozy. Love that one pulls out easily. There’s plenty of old games and dvds in the center console. The window blinds work but need to be updated. Loved that there was an electric piano. The outdoor seating is good but needs a deep clean. Outdoor fire pit was nice. The river was great. Soft current. Great for kids. There’s solo kayaks and some canoes w paddles and life jackets. We didn’t swim. The guardian cat, pumpkin scared off a fox one evening - so cool. Pumpkin is great. We didn’t see any pigs or ducks. Check out process requires that you wash all the dishes, dry them, and put them back."

"Exeeded expectations. My daughter texted me saying " Dad, it's legit." Lol - I didn't understand what that meant but my son said they really like it. It's a real hand hewn log cabin. Has a great "vibe" - per my sons and daughter. The kayaks, life jackets, paddles and other equipment were well cared for, clean and ready to use. Great view from the screened in porch. We would recommend it and stay there again."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The view is amazing and the proximity to both the National Park and to Luray was a big draw for us.We took full advantage of the outdoors while we were here and our kids really enjoyed the game room when we returned.The only small gripes we had were about the kitchen and lack of dishwasher. Very small trade off.We would consider staying again."
