"There was no information given to us at check-in or a Binder in the hotel explaining about the hotel or places nearby. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, parking was over $30 a day, the hotel was completely outdated. Sometimes the water didn’t work or it was yellow water coming from the tub. The elevator had to be manually turned on every single time we went to the second floor, which was a great inconvenience, considering we had two young kids and often brought the stroller to our room with us. "

"We had a king room, which was was very nice because it included a large sitting area with an L-shaped sofa. One of my pet peeves is lack of seating in hotel rooms. It was very clean with a refrigerator and coffee maker. I wish there was an option for task lighting in the sitting area that would be less bright if one of us slept a bit later. We were there midweek to see a band playing in Alexandria. The hotel bar closed at 9pm so we were unable to stop in for a nightcap when we arrived back at the hotel at 10:30pm. If you are on a budget, please note that parking is not included and will cost $25 per night at the nearby garage. Breakfast is $11 PP for a typical serve yourself buffet that is included at many hotels. Staff was friendly and helpful."

"The room was clean and the staff was nice however the bathroom needs a major upgrade. The tub and knobs were below average. The bed was comfortable. There is curtain that separates the closet however it needs to be swapped out with a door or nothing at all because it can be a little scary entering a room with a curtain in front of it. The hotel hallways smelled stale and needs a deep cleaning or change of carpet to get rid of the smell. The hotel holds a lot of history however it needs cosmetic upgrades. It’s a beautiful hotel. "
