"The hotel lived up to the hype! Historical details were everywhere. We stayed in the Back Street Suite, and you couldn't help but notice the thought put into every detail of the room. The room was clean, the sheets were soft, the pottery in the room was beautiful, and the toiletries provided were top notch. Marshall is a beautiful small town, and the residents were very welcoming. The only downside was that my sister and I could only stay one night. I will stay at the Old Marshall Jail Hotel again!"

"WARNING: DANGEROUS ROAD. YOU MUST HAVE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WITH OFF ROAD ABILITY. THE ROAD IS BAD ALL THE WAY, BUT THE FINAL HILL TO THE DRIVEWAY IS EXTREMELY DANGEORUS AND NEEDS SOME POSTS OR JUST SOME WIRE OR. IT IS TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT OR ANY RAIN.Wonderful place and hosts otherwise."

"Just a few issues. Bathrooms on hall with the 3 bedrooms need to be cleaned better. Kitchen range take awhile to heat up and was in need of a good cleaning. Also needs new knobs. Chairs to kitchen table need to be replaced. Ice/water dispensers do not work. Sprayer at kitchen sink sticks. Pool metal stairs and hand rail to other stairs are loose. Bolt lock to outside door of master suite does not lock. Grill was in serious need of clean. Propane was low so even after cleaning it we could not use it. Would suggest someone really take care of the place. It is worth renting. Otherwise the place was room and we enjoyed out time together."

"What a wonderful stay at Plum Crooked Cottage! We absolutely loved it.The porches were one of our favorite parts of the trip. Sitting in the rocking chair on the front porch, listening to the creek, was so peaceful. The cottage is full of charm and character, with thoughtful details in every nook. The loveseats were incredibly comfortable, the bed was cozy, and I especially enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful clawfoot tub.The location is perfect, just minutes from downtown Marshall, yet it still feels like a peaceful retreat. Our pup felt right at home, too.The thoughtful touches from the owners really made our stay special. The fresh bread, homemade jam, and other welcoming extras were such a treat and made us feel genuinely cared for.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Plum Crooked Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway!"
