"We were a group of friends wanting to walk in the Peak District - what a great location, right by a reservoir! Holmbridge is just down the road. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you need. Would recommend and stay there again."

"We can't fault these wonderful cabins or the hosts, the cabins are beautifully built, with great style and attention to detail and everything you need to cater for your stay. Our little staffy loved watching out of the window when we were inside, and happily snoozed in front of the wood burner in the evening. The location is fantastic, right on the canal path leading to lovely walks up and over some great hilly trails so you don't even need to drive anywhere to find good walks, although you're also only a short drive from bigger peaks and the Pennine Way, or nearby towns and villages including Last of the Summer Wine filming location of Holmfirth. The hosts were amazing from start to finish, making sure everything was good for us, and giving great local knowledge on walks and places to eat. We 100% recommend staying here, and would happily return."

"The welcome was very friendly. We were shown to the room up 2 flights of stairs. Good sized room with double bed ensuite. Bed was so comfortable. Ensuite shower was electric which worked fine but not as much water pressure I like but that's a personal thing. Ironing board with iron came in handy on the day of the wedding. The food in the restaurant was delicious as was the Guinness!!"

"Everything at this Hotel is amazing. I took my wife here for our 49th Anniversary, for a 2 night break and our Honeymoon Suite was fabulous. Great views over the hills. Room was spotless and comfortable. All staff were really helpful, but I must mention, Michael who was here there and everywhere and on hand when you needed him. Food was awesome both breakfast and evening meal. A big shout to Kat at breakfast. This girl is an absolute star, so pleasant and has a very warm welcoming persona which you need when you are dining. An excellent 2 night stay at this beautiful Inn, well worth a visit. You won't be disappointed. "
