ABOUT THE APARTMENT
A lovely 170m2 fully-air conditioned apartment comprising of one large main bedroom with a double bed and a small en-suite shower, 2 twin-bed rooms, a separate bathroom, a store room, a larger than usual combined dining/living/kitchen area and an inner courtyard.
The apartment's main door is accessed directly from the street, which means guests do not need to pass through a common area to access the apartment.
Please note that there is no lift and that guests have to climb one flight of stairs - apartment is not suitable for mobility reduced guests.
The apartment has its own free WiFi, a smart TV, a DVD player, a washing machine, a microwave, air conditioners in each bedroom and in the combined area, a hairdryer, etc...
No smoking only.
ARRIVALS
Arrivals possible 24 hours a day - guests will be instructed how to retrieve the key to the apartment from a safe box.
WHAT IS PROVIDED
Hand and bathroom towels, beach towels and linen will be provided. Basic toiletries will be provided to help guests start their holiday. When basic toiletries run out, they are not replenished by the host.
HEATING AND COOLING
Air-conditioning usage is metered. Guests find credit already in the meter to make for a reasonably comfortable and at the same time environmentally-friendly stay. The host will not recharge the meter if credit runs out. Guests can insert euro coins to reactivate the air-conditioning. All air-conditioning units are AAA rated and very economical and environmentally friendly. Guests are, nonetheless, asked not to leave air-conditioners on when they leave the apartment or the rooms they are not using, and not to run them on timer, which can make the units switch on when they are not needed.
LOCATION
The apartment is situated at a very short walking distance (one minute) from Marsaxlokk's waterfront and the main square.
Marsaxlokk is a very charming and picturesque fishermen's village, the last of its kind on the island, and is visited by many tourists both during the day and at night. It has many cafes and restaurants, some specializing in fish, two pharmacies, various grocery stores, butchers, a bakery, confectioneries, hairdressers, beauty salons, 2 ATMs, etc...
A bus stop, a grocery store, a butcher, a hairdresser, a children's play area, many restaurants, a renowned fish shop and the sea are just a couple of steps away from the apartment's main door.
There is a large street market every Sunday all along the Marsaxlokk promenade where one can buy not only fish, but also vegetables, toiletries, clothes, souvenirs...
