"It was a nice, cozy cottage / cabin in the woods. It had everything you need and it was clean. Quiet and peaceful. We seen deer, a jack rabbit and chipmunks running around in the back chasing each other and collecting acorns. Made some s'mores at the fire at night. Plenty of wood. South Higgins Lake State Park is 5 minutes away and so is Marl Lake State hiking trail. The owner / host was very nice. My wife and kids enjoyed this place. We will be back next year."

"Nice rustic getaway! I think it would be better to stay in the Fall instead of Summer. Shower nozzle was broke, so my daughters were crying for a real shower lol, but I loved it. Definitely need a 4x4 to get back to the cabin in the summer when it rains and bring a lot of bug spray."

"We enjoyed our stay at the property. The host provided us with everything we needed to make us feel welcome. The place was bigger than we expected and they have maximized the space. The covered porch was great for enjoying the outdoors bug free. We had a bonfire with some friends had ample chairs provided. The clubhouse was a nice touch for keeping us entertained. There was a shed that we had access to for storing our bikes, kayaks and tubes. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the essentials for food prep and cooking. We took advantage of the gas grill and did some grilling. The dishwasher made clean up easy. There were plenty of towels and a washer and dryer to keep things tidy. There is so much to do in that area from biking, hiking, kayaking/tubing the Au Sable, to floating and boating on Higgins Lake. The property provided two SUPs which is a nice touch. We look forward to our next stay and we are happy to share our positive experience."

"One of the cleanest properties we’ve ever stayed at. No “clutter” around which was nice. Beds were memory foam which we find uncomfortable but otherwise a very nice place to stay."

"Everything was as written we enjoyed our stay here. It was clean had all the adequate dishes and pans to cook with was nice cause most of our meals were eaten at my son‘s cottage so we did very low cooking there. Thank you for having us."
