The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. It is situated on a busy road but don’t let that put you off - see if you can get one of the quieter rooms at the back. Worth a visit and situated in a great area/countryside."

On the negative side, it's an old building and is showing it's age. The floor in our room had a noticeable slope (disconcerting when you get out of bed at night). There was no hot water one evening for a few hours. Seems no-one had spotted the boiler was off."
