When you come to the Texas Hill Country, why not stay in...well, the Hill Country? Texas Star is on the same 20 acres as the Guesthaus at White Tail Oaks and The Hideout, but out of view range. This cabin is located about 15 minutes northwest of downtown Fredericksburg near the historic Cherry Springs community.
Guests will enjoy a spacious and open, private cabin with a king size bed, sitting area where you will find a TV w/blue-ray player but no cable reception..(remember, this is why you headed to the country), and kitchenette. Your favorite feature may be the fabulous bathroom with the large whirlpool tub for two or maybe it will be the romantic gas fireplace (Seasonal from mid - Nov to mid - Mar.) The outdoor shower is perfect for cooling off after a long summers day and provides a rare opportunity to be at one with nature.

Wonderful and peaceful experience

The property is lovely with complete seclusion. It has utensils, microwave, mini fridge, and a Keurig coffee maker. The hot tub and jacuzzi were really nice and well maintained. The nights out there are super dark (I'd recommend bringing a good flashlight) and the skies are glorious! We're already looking to plan another stay at the property! Fantastic and recharging getaway.

Anniversary Get A Way

We had a wonderful time enjoying the Quite Country atmosphere. The property was very private and had wonderful views of deer and birds. We definitely enjoyed our time and will be back again one day.

We Keep Coming Back

This was our third trip to this cabin in the last 3 years. It's the perfect getaway to escape civilization without being more than 20 minutes from it. The hosts are super-friendly and VERY quick to respond, and the cabin itself is just perfect and private. Lots of birds to watch, wildlife to view, and even a couple of friendly cats from time to time to visit on the porch. And the night sky... wow! We'll keep coming back.

Texas Star Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. We were looking for a secluded place so we could look up at the stars at night. This was wonderful. The wildlife was a bonus. The cats are very friendly and loved to be pet. The cabin is well stoked with items you would need for a short getaway. I have attached one of the many pics I took of the Milky Way.

Great Anniversary Getaway

Nice cabin

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was nice and cozy. We were able to sit outside around the fire pit and relax in the hot tub. It had a great time and much needed relaxing weekend.

Secluded and quiet lil cabin

We had a great time. Owner came and got ac up and running. Cabin was super clean and ready to go! Outdoor hot tub and shower were nice addition. Easy to get to town and quiet at night. Great opportunity to reconnect . Lovely

Absolutely breathtaking

The property is AMAZING!!! There is an on-call housekeeper that helped us out when we got lost. The place so is so beautiful and only 20 minutes from Fredericksburg gave us a quiet community while still being close to a city for sightseeing! We will most likely come back because we absolutely loved the place so much!!

Secret Getaway

We found out we are expecting our first baby 2 days before we arrived. Everything about the cabin made our “before work gets busy” turned “celebrating our little secret for the next 2 months” getaway perfect. We loved feeding the kitties and wildlife, enjoyed having no wifi/spotty service to truly disconnect from the world for a bit, and loved taking cool showers outside after a long hot day. It’s a peaceful slice of the world and we will for sure be back!

Perfect little cabin

Everything about this cabin was wonderful! Loved the outdoor shower and hot tub. Bed was super comfy as was everything about this place. I recommend bringing your own firewood like we did if you plan to use the fire pit. We also brought our griddle to fix breakfast and that worked perfect. Lots of kitchen supplies, but there is only a microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot inside. We did dinner on the grill and it was great. There are lots of sweet kitties here, which we enjoyed very much, but if you don’t like cats or are allergic, you might not like that. Great place to stay and we will definitely be back again.

Absolutely Lovely

My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway for our 19th anniversary. Whitetail oaks was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Quiet, secluded and a peaceful atmosphere. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch watching the cats, birds, hummingbirds, squirrels and deer eat. Enjoy the hot tub and jacuzzi tub to relax. In the evening cooking on the grill and sitting in front of the fire pit with our music playing looking up at the stars was so relaxing. Gave us time to reconnect and concentrate on each other without the distractions of our busy world. Fredericksburg just a short distance away if we wanted to shop, eat or get anything. Will definitely go again.

LOVED THIS CABIN !

I honestly loved this cabin . My first ever cabin trip and before my birthday . The hot tub and shower is such a lovely touch . No issues with anything . Cabin was nice and cool . Clean and stocked with a lot of items needed . So different being out in the woods and the nice cool breeze hitting beautifully ! I would definitely book this same cabin AGAIN. Me n my partner came out to disconnect and spend Time with each other and it was well needed . Thank you to the host that made sure the cabin was put together for our trip !

Good and bad

Upside: I had the best night sleep of my life! That bed was perfect. I felt more rested after a night of sleep than I can ever remember. Downside: the hot tub was not working the entire weekend, much to our disappointment. There was no shower inside and the tub inside had a bad smell when we first used it. There were some other issues which I've forgotten about, which were overshadowed by the hot tub. Since my wife refuses to book any accommodation without a hot tub, we were overall very disappointed with our stay.

Amazing cabin

We LOVED the Texas star. It was exactly what we needed for the weekend. Next time we will book one more night to get all the benefits of the amazing place. I love the cats that greeted us at the beginning of our stay. I looked in the binder of instructions for the weekend and saw something about cat food but couldn't find any. Given that it was after hours I called and left a message. I'm an animal lover and wanted to make sure all their belly were full if they were keeping us company all weekend. The host texted me and was very quick to respond and tell me that they would get us cat food by the next day. The cabin itself was absolutely amazing. Perfect for a couple trip. We loved waking up to the deer in the yard. Having coffee and a maker was perfect for us. We weren't sure if utensils would be included so we got some on our H-E-B run but come to find out EVERYTHING we needed was provided in the kitchen. We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit (burn ban) or the grill but we took advantage of the quiet serene atmosphere and napped whenever we could on the amazingly comfortable bed. The hot tub was fantastic and all the stuff was provided for us. We loved watching the sunset from the back porch in the hot tub. The host was quick to respond when we told them that the jets didn't work in the bathtub but that was minor compared to the amazing thing I just talked about above. We will be back in the future and look forward to our next visit.
