Staff friendly and helpful...facilities not as advertised and not family friendly as inside pool not on site and not for children under 16.

Mixed feelings about this property. The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was great, the location is not bad as it is 15 min away from Marbella. I don’t necessarily like the style of the hotel, room decor and pool area. Not exactly what you expect in a 5 stars hotel standard more like a 4 stars deluxe.

Five night stay.
Positives.
1. Beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings. Always sunbeds available. Plenty of peace and quiet around the pool.
2. Staff. Willing to go above and beyond at all times. Paquito in particular should be singled out. Attentive yet unobtrusive.
3. Superb quality buffet morning and evening with great variety and fresh grill.
4. Beach club expensive but I felt it really added to the experience.
5. Superb selection of wines by the glass under 7 euros. This quality glass would be over a tenner in London.
Areas for improvement
1. Staff. Simply not enough of them.
I would have hoped for pool side service but there was simply a bar to order from. This significantly reduced our bill. Wait at times for lunch a little long.
2. Bedrooms. Four star standard. Dried blood on one bed sheet. Mattresses very poor quality open coil type. However nice decor and attentive house keeping.
3. Lunch food variable. Amazing squid and seafood. Very poor quality burger.
Overall a good four star hotel - correlated well with the rate paid. True five star luxury in the area (eg Marbella club) is a class above and shouldn't be compared. Thanks to the team for a relaxing time.
