Aime : situation , la vue merveilleuse sur la piazza ,la grande chambre très propre et la salle de bain moderne et très propre Pas aimé: la télévision ne marchait pas. Ce n’est pas un hôtel, il faut aller en face au restaurant pour le service et on ne s’est pas senti bienvenus. Heureusement, un serveur très gentil nous a aidés.

Modernes Design in historischer Liegenschaft

Die Zimmer dieser Residenz liegen äusserst zentral an einem der drei Plätze Mantuas. Im Moment sind die Paläste allerdings eingerüstet, was den optischen Eindruck ein wenig trübt. Das grosszügige Appartement liegt in der dritten Etage und ist bequem mit dem Lift zu erreichen. Das Frühstück in einem benachbarten Café ist einfach, aber sehr authentisch. Nachts kann es ein bisschen laut werden, da die Fenster direkt auf den belebten Platz hinausgehen.

A Mantova soggiornare nella piazza principale da dove si parte per qualsiasi visita e sicuramente un plus. La struttura e servita da ascensore e le camere hanno l’affaccio diretto sulla piazza. L’accoglienza viene fatta nell’omonimo ristorante dove si svolge la colazione, anche fuori orario. Le camere sono ampissima anzi suite e sono servite da Wi-Fi grwatuito.

Confusing check-in at restaurant across the street. You must sit at a restaurant table and have a drink (provided by the hotel) while they check you in. Breakfast buffet was limited - no fresh fruit.

Disappointing and misleading

Essentially you are hiring a room above a bakery with a bathroom. Reception is 100 m over the road at Osteria delle Erbe, a backpacker-style breakfast is at Bar Venezia 120 m down the road,and the public garage Mazzini Park is a 500 m walk and much further to drive. For our three days' stay, wi-fi was turned off for 35 hours. No lift, no help with luggage for three hours after we arrived. Only one sheet instead of two. Seemingly unfinished building on ground floor, first floor landing and second floor landing (not safe for children). Credit card payment activated before we arrived.

Siamo arrivati davanti al B&B e abbiamo dovuto aspettare tre quarti d'ora prima che qualcuno rispondesse. Al momento del check-in, ci hanno fatto pagare 10 euro in più per il cagnolino, supplemento non indicato in sede di prenotazione. Nonostante avessero molte stanze vuote ci hanno assegnato il sottotetto!

bellissimo contesto

Incantevole contesto, il palazzo storico ti accoglie in piazza erbe, a due passi da palazzo ducale. Pulitissimo e curato, non avendo avuto particolari necessità, non abbiamo sofferto l'assenza di reception, anzi. Certo, se si è avanti con l'età è meglio specificarlo perché le scale potrebbero risultare faticose ma ovviamente essendo un palazzo storico, c'era da aspettarselo che non ci fosse l'ascensore. Peccato solo per la vista, avevamo una finestrella in alto che non ci ha permesso di godere del panorama ma probabilmente in questo modo abbiamo evitato il vociare della gente in piazza (era venerdì sera ed eravamo sulla piazza principale, anche questo era prevedibile). Insomma, consigliatissimo! Forse un pochino caro per i servizi offerti ( non ci sono armadiature e la colazione offerta al bar vicino è particolarmente misera) ma ci torneremo!

LUSSO PAGATO FINO ALL'ULTIMO CENTESIMO...

Ho trascorso 1 notte con mia moglie nella suite nr,2, l'unica con vasca idromassaggio. La camera è favolosa, grandissima, affrescata, con una vasca idro per 2 persone comodissima, ben tenuta, dotata di tv frigo e aria condizionata: costo della stanza per 1 notte euro 220. Assolutamente deludente è stata invece la gestione della clientela e le condizioni "collaterali": - colazione: fruibile presso un bar con semplice bevanda calda, 1 briosche e mezzo bicchiere di succo. Punto e stop qualsiasi altra cosa richiede pagamento a parte - parcheggio: è necessario acquistare un permesso per accedere alla ztl e parcheggiare. costo del permesso per 1 giorno 3 euro -la reception consegna un buono sconto del 15% da utilizzare se si intende cenare o pranzare nel ristorante omonimo posto che si trova nella parte opposta della piazza. Il giorno della partenza abbiamo pranzato ma al momento di pagare il conto (32 euro) in totale il buono è stat rifiutato perchè non vale solo alla carta e non nel caso di menù fisso (16 euro cadauno per antipasto primo e acqua). Posto che per 3 euro di parcheggio, 1,5 di briosce aggiuntiva e 4,80 euro di mancato sconto sono ancora quello di prima, mi chiedo se chi gestisce la struttura e ha incassato 220 euro per 1 sola notte possa fare una figuraccia barbina per queste sciocchezze

History and comfort

The luxury suite we stayed in was wonderful- great view across the piazza, very spacious clean and with an excellent large comfortable bed. Plus frescoes on wall! Bear in mind this is not a hotel (no reception facilities- check-in across the piazza in the restaurant) and the stairs to our 3rd floor were very steep and awkward if you have heavy luggage. The thrill of staying in the heart of this lovely old city makes this a minor inconvenience.

Rooms in centre of town

This is not a hotel but rooms . There are no facilities other than the room and no fire escape details. Our room was up 87 narrow stairs with no lift. I'm glad we did not have to evacuate.. If there is a problem, as we had, unless the restaurant across the square is open then you are on your own. No emergency number was given and no other help is available. Break fast - one cup of coffee, one croissant, one orange juice - is available in a nearby cafe. We left the hotel at 8am on a Monday morning and the cafe was not open. The rooms are attractive . One soap ; two tea bags ; two strips of coffee per day. No milk or cream.

Why are you going to Montova is the question

After a beautiful stay in lake como, our hotel concierge recommended a "charming town" outside of Milan. After a nearly 3 hour train from Milan, we arrive to the middle of nowhere Montova, to find a sad little square with nearly nothing to do. The "hotel staff" is a waiter at the restaurant across the street who can confirm that there is absolutely nothing to see in this city except for dilapidated castles and a sad duomo that at the time was under construction. After the hotels.com priced us a quote, the "hotel" tried to change the price on us by over 40%. The room was moderately clean, but overall I would never stay there again nor would I ever visit this town. As far as breakfast is concerned, you will have to walk to a bar closeby where your breakfast options are as following: coffee/tea, brioche, juice. That's it!
