"The resort is in a very quiet area. They could have a small shop for essentials. There was a pool bar but unfortunately it was closed. The cleaners were hit and miss not their fault, but meant we had no cleaning and the bin not emptied. There was no facility to empty the bin ourselves. The rooms were dated and could do with some sprucing up. No information on what was around. Handy for the beach."

"What was supposed to be an "almost" perfect week of vacation turned into a horrific, irreversible mess for me, my parents, and my son upon arrival. We arrived at Manta Rota at 12:30 p.m., in intense heat, after a four-hour drive. When we arrived at the address indicated on the Holidu/Vrbo booking platform, the house we had reserved wasn't the one. When I tried to call the platform's contact information, the host wasn't Mr. António. In short, after several attempts to contact the number on the accommodation in front of me and the platform's number, I realized something very strange had happened. In the desperation that our reservation wasn't being held, it "seemed" to me that "attempts for help from other accommodations" were emerging. I strongly advise you to double-check your reservations to avoid being scammed! After almost two hours of calling, we managed to contact the booking platform directly, get the host's correct name and contact information, and finally headed to the house rented on the platform, which was located directly opposite Manta Rota!! "Luck was coming"... and the house wasn't ready for delivery... because the platform didn't make the necessary updates in a timely manner!! Instead of checking in at 3:30 PM, we didn't get in until 4:45 PM... Now, the vacation began! The house was exactly as I booked: excellent, clean, good sheets, towels, dishes, all the necessary kitchen and dining utensils, dishwasher, washing machine,a great terrace where we ate our meals"

"We got there in the rain and left im the sun! Used the WIFI to work, had a few powercuts including the big one. The host kept me informed. His manager only speaks Portuguese or French, which can be a challenge. The property was very clean and had almost everything you could want. If there isn't, the chinese shop nr the butchers has everything! The beds are a little on the hard side and there were not enough pillows. That is our preference though. The place has beds for upto 6 people but sofa only for 3 and sitting on garden furniture all evening was not good. We used the Supermarket 4 doors down, we used this alot. Supermarkets are a 10 min drive ie Aldi, Intermarche and Pingo Doce. In the direction of Altura. Restaurant next door is very good and Mar's Bar over the road for food. All the restaurants are good. In the area. Beach is beautiful with only a 5 to 10 min walk. It does get extremely busy. We would book again definitely. "
