LIKES: Quite place. Near to highway. DISLIKES: No breakfast. Check-out time is 11.00 instead of noon. Room was under repair when arrived/checked in. WiFi works only in lobby not in room. The price is reasonable. But the above amenities (mentioned in the dislikes) were offered while booking online but in reality they were not.

Disappointing
I was very disappointed in this motel. When we first arrived nobody was in the lobby for us to check in. We called the number we were supposed to when we got there nobody answered the phone. We went looking for someone. It took us 30 minutes to find someone to check us in. When we got checked in they gave us the room key and that is when they made the bed. They had no fitted sheet on the bed. They only had a flat sheet and the covers. I was worried the whole time we stayed if we even had a clean sheet. It was a very disappointing motel we stayed at. I was trying to make it a very nice time because my husband and I was celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and did not realized that this motel room was not what I expected.

Hiking Holmes County.
Heritage is a budget option. It isn't fancy, and the outside areas need some attention, but my room was clean, safe, and quiet. The hallways as well, although forst floor rooms have both inside and outside access. If I were to stay in the Mansfield area again, I would stay here as it was properly priced for what it is compared to other Mansfield area motels.

My stay at Heritage Inn
Our stay was a pleasant experience and I would recommend this motel for your stay. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable to sleep on. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This place was okay. The only bright light was Brooke at the front desk. She actually shook my hand and was pleased to meet me. She was there when I needed cell phone charger in middle of night. Brooke is constantly running around doing the job of literally 4 motel personnel. I know because I worked for HR all my life. I would definitively stay there again but only because I have a friend named Brooke working there.

Waited about 10-15 minutes before someone came to check us in. Only spent the one Nite, was just passing thru. Alot of updating needs to be done. Really didn't feel safe. The check-in clerk was very nice and helpful.

You can do better!
Maybe it was my local friends warning me of bed bugs and lot lizards knocking on my door in the wee hours that added to my negativity? I was greeted strangely, given the door card to my room and informed that it won't work on the outdoor facing side of my room. I use the interior door as instructed and found that none of the light switches worked anywhere except the bath. After all is said and done, spend a few extra bucks and get a real room. Especially if your wife is traveling with you! It's the nastiest hotel I've stayed in this side of China.

The visual aspects of the outside of the property was average. The inside of the hotel was messy and smelled bad. They had smoking and none smoking rooms which I didn't think was allowed in Ohio. My room smelled like a combination of marijuana and bad cigarette smoke. This was suppose to be a nonsmoking room. My second room, I had two rooms reserve, didn't have the smell but there were large BUGS in the A.C. unit. As I looked into the air outlet vent of the A.C. I could see bugs laying in the vent on top of the coil. Don't know what kind they were but they were the size of a pearl at least a dozen or more. As I walked through the hotel I ran into smells of marijuana here and there. When we chose to vacate the premises shortly after discovering the bugs, the clerk was not at all happy with our decision, but did grant us a refund with no penalty. I would not recommend this Heritage Inn to anyone, especially a family with children!!

This was grabbed from odh.ohio.org about the smoking laws in Ohio Hotels, motels and lodging facilities may designate as many as 20 percent of sleeping rooms for smoking. The other 80 percent of sleeping rooms and all other areas such as common areas, meeting rooms and offices, etc. must be no smoking areas. The bugs you seen were stink bugs and everyone has them. The pot smell, well if they have the card that says they can smoke it we can't do anything about it specially in the smoking section. And families with children do stay here with no problem. It's a great place to stay!!!

The person who stayed 3 weeks in that room before you didn't say anything about things that didn't work. And if things didn't work right then you should let us know so we can fix them. And yes it's an older hotel but it still has a ton of character. And y'all had an amazing breakfast

The reservation was for a room with a queen size bed, the room that we were given had a full size bed. The sheets had stains all over them and the blankets were full of cigarette burns and were old and uncomfortable. There were roaches as well. I would not recommend.

Well for one, you had a queen size room, 148 was queen. Not sure about the linens on the bed but I know for a fact we don't have bugs, no one has even complained about them, just the stink bugs

The rooms were just OK. Though we needed to clean counters ourselves. The entire place smelled like stale cigarette smoke except the rooms. There was a trash can on wheels in the middle of the hallway and they ignored my message requesting bottom floor for a person who does not do steps which made it HORRIBLE for her. Staff was unfriendly at best.

I wouldn't go and say staff, not all of us are bad. If she was aware of the problem when you were checking in she would of moved you to the bottom floor. I know when I came to work we did have a bottom room open. As for the smell I apologize because the other end bottom floor is smoking and as much as we try to keep it over there it doesn't help. My reservation was for 3 people. I had one extra kid with me and he charged me for 2 extra people, telling me my reservation was for 2. Everything was dirty, we only had two towels the whole weekend; and when we asked for more we were told there weren’t any more. The reason we booked this hotel is because we were low on money and they advertised continental breakfast, however there was no breakfast at all, and we had to ask to even get coffee made.

Because when you came through the hallway there were 5 people total and that's why he charged you. when you first came in you could of asked for extra towels but when you did ask housekeeping did all the towels but because your room was do not disturb she was unable to get towels and by the time you asked me they were all gone. Continental breakfast is only coffee because of covid. And coffee is only made at 7 am but this morning it was made early because I was working. But thank you for your feedback...

Disgusting Atmosphere
Room was filthy and the smell of mold was overwhelming. We could not stay in these conditions and went to another hotel. When notified, management didn't seem to care what our complaint was about they quickly issued a refund and went about their business. I took that to mean they were used to hearing about it.

If your room was that bad your more then welcomed to come down and get another room, if I was working I would of upgraded your room. it's not that we are use to hearing about it, it's everyone is really busy trying to get things done around here. There are only 3 people employed here. But thank you for your feedback

there was coffee that was made, because of Covid that leaves us limited. If your door always locked it's because you were deactivating the key some how and if there was something in the drain slowing it down I wish you could tell us which room so we can get that looked at Thank you for your feedback
