Overall good stay

The property is beautiful and well cared for. They're eco friendly and well located, a quick 5 min walk from the makeshift bus terminal on the main road. I slept great despite the noise from neighbors and the discotheques [I am generally a light sleeper]. The private beach is a plus, though I didnā€™t mind the vendors on the one day that I ventured over to the public side. MontaƱita Beach is gorgeous but has a spaced out shore line. The young man did charge me tax at checkout; foreigners aren't supposed to pay taxes on hotels in Ecuador. The young man spoke great English, up until this moment. When I asked for an invoice, he said he couldn't understand me. Convenient. I will dispute with my bank. I'd still recommend the place, just be diligent.

Beachfront hotel with yoga in the am

Right on the beach, free yoga once a week, breakfast is included (and delicious) and the hotel is generally quiet (though one night these awful French tourists were drunk and making a racket and security never came to shut them up, which was surprising and a little disappointing). But overall the stay was great!
