Comfortable One Bedroom Condo with Awesome View at Mammoth

Our nicely furnished and decorated condo has a beautiful view of the Sherwin Mountains from the living room and its balcony and natural landscape from its bedroom. It has one bedroom with a king size bed with a walk-in closet and two single sleeper sofas in the living room. The living room has a wood burning EPA approved fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped. The condo has a 40' Flat Screen TV/DVD/CD in living area. There are also private access high speed wi-fi. premium cable, and an additional Flat Screen TV/DVD in the king bedroom. Guests have access to a newer pool (operating in the Summer) and jacuzzi and laundry facilities. There are about 35 steps to get to condo and its view. It also comes with a single enclosed car garage plus one first come first serve outside parking. There are barbques and tables located in the common area. Bigwood is nestled among big pine trees and located in a quiet walk neighborhood in town of Mammoth Lakes. Bigwood is located near two of the main ski access areas as well as the Sierra Star golf course and the Village; all within one mile. High country lake fishing is also close to Bigwood. A free shuttle located a few blocks away from the complex travels to Eagle Lodge and the Village.

Comfy,Cozy retreat

I so enjoyed my stay here. It was clean, and had everything I needed. The view, the trees, the neighborhood was very welcoming. I had a question about the fireplace and the response was almost immediate. I would stay again for sure. Just know that there are a few steps to get up to but the view and the warm vibe was worth it!

Ski Vacation

Skiing was great. We could not rent a car in Bishop Airport, so we took a taxi and used the local busses. That worked fine. When needed we used Uber, but that meant we could not get to June Mountain unfortunately. The condo was fine. Plenty of firewood which we used to help the wall mounted electric heaters. Condo office let us stay in their sitting area while we waited for our taxi back to the airport after checking out. We will definitely return to Mammoth Lakes!

Mammoth Ski Adventure

We arrived at Mammoth kind of late in the day Feb 4 for a 5-day ski trip, when we realized we didn't have the address of our condo with us and it was starting to get dark. Yikes!We contacted Howard, the owner, and he answered the phone immediately and gave us directions and address.We got to the place and it was exactly as described. Beautiful views of the mountains directly in front of us, and to the right a clear view of the chairlift up Lincoln Mountain off Canyon Lodge. The place was clean and cozy as described, with a well-appointed kitchen and super-cozy Cal King bed!Howard was an ultra-gracious host and I would absolutely stay there again.Best,Tony and Sandy from Santa Barbara

Great getaway

Location is in an ideal place. Minutes from lake Mary and any restaurant and grocery store. Place was perfect for my daughter’s and I, and it was very clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again.

It is in a convenient neighborhood, close to Canyon lodge. There are two sofa beds in the living room, comfortable for our family of 4.

We had a great time staying here. Quiet complex with an added bonus of a garage. Cable TV, fireplace, comfortable bed, view from the deck, and great communication with the owner. September is a great time to visit Mammoth!

Very cozy and well stocked

We had a great time staying at this condo. The owner was very helpful even with last minute questions. It is definitely an older mountain property that could use a little handiwork, but we were very comfortable and fully enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Perfectly Cozy

We had a lovely stay! This condo is in a very ideal location with easy access to the mountain and the village. It was comfortable and well stocked with a great hot tub to soak after a long day of skiing. You have to walk up a big staircase to get to the condo so beware if you are traveling with someone that has mobility problems.

Location, location, location...

Decent little 1 bedroom condo. Complex was quiet. We worked remotely here for a week. You can cut through the east end of the complex and walk to shops and restaurants in like 5-10 minutes, which we did every evening. Same can be used to access the biking/walking path that goes up to Horseshoe/Twin Lakes area.

Great stay, accommodating host

Hello. We had a great stay at the condo. It was exactly as described, had a well stocked kitchen with many basics and plenty of cookware. Entry was easy and it was great to have a garage to park in. Also the hosts were very accommodating in helping us sort out a situation beyond their control, when a snowstorm knocked out power to the complex on our first night there. Definitely would book with them again.

If you have a group of 4 or fewer this little place is perfect in Mammoth lakes. There are quite a few stairs so make sure you're capable. Plenty of sleeping room and blankets and pillows, plus the kitchen has everything you need. Howard was great at communicating. Thanks for the hospitality!

Cozy and comfortable

Five night stay. Loved the comfortable king size bed. The kitchen provided everything we needed. The host was very responsive. The 2 1/2 flights of stairs were fine except when we schlepped things in and out. It was nice to have a garage, especially this time of year when pinecones are falling. It’s a quiet neighborhood but we could sometimes hear footsteps in the unit above us.Not a big deal. Easy access to all the many walking/biking trails in Mammoth. Walking distance to the Village.

Mammoth Condo

Clean and very quiet, also economical. Nice view. The bathroom is tiny, like airliner tiny. The electronics were difficult to operate and the instruction book was for a completely different system.

Cold Showers

It is true that the view and location were nice. Having a small garage was convenient. The unit was comfortable, but shows its age. Snow on the roof makes it harder to open the sliders. The cold water handle in the shower did not stop spinning, so it was impossible to have a shower that was hot. This was unfortunate after a day of being out in the snow. I texted the owner to let them know, and was told that they were already aware of the issue! BBBRRRR! That was a cold shower!
