"We had a warm welcome from the owner, and the apartment we stayed in was a good size, with a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The apartment is above a garage (separate to the rest of the hostel) and below the owners living area. Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Malpartida De Corneja?
Malpartida De Corneja is a small, rural village, so the best area to stay is within the village itself, or in one of the nearby, slightly larger towns for more amenities and accommodation choices.

For those wanting a peaceful, authentic rural experience, staying directly in Malpartida De Corneja is ideal. You'll be right in the heart of the village, experiencing its quiet pace of life. The village is small enough to explore on foot, with its historic church and traditional stone houses. It's a superb spot for solo travellers seeking tranquility or couples looking for a secluded getaway.

Alternatively, for a wider selection of accommodation and dining options, consider staying in a nearby town such as Piedrahíta, which is just a short drive away. Piedrahíta offers a bit more in terms of local shops and restaurants, and it's well-connected for exploring the wider Corneja Valley and the Sierra de Gredos mountains.
When is the best time to go to Malpartida De Corneja?
The best times to visit Malpartida De Corneja are during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to October).

You'll find the landscape to be particularly inviting, whether it's for leisurely walks or enjoying the local produce.

For those who appreciate good weather and fewer crowds, these shoulder seasons provide a relaxed and authentic experience.
