We had a lovely stay at the hotel until they filled the remainder of our floor with a school trip of around thirty 14 yr olds who had no regard for anyone else, they were extremely loud and disrupted the peace and quiet all night long. As a result we didn’t sleep and the teacher seemed to have little or no control over them. It was very unfortunate.

Would rate as 2 star
Very basic hotel definitely not a 4 star by any stretch of the imagination and for the price. Staff at check in very unfriendly and disinterested in guests. Bathroom in reception was filthy with waste bins overflowing. Room clean but basic and tired.

Terrible attitude
Service staff, especially for the breakfast sessions are terrible. Waiters are yelling at the guests because guests were disappointed with the lack of food. this happened on the morning of 2nd January 2023.

Perfect location. I had the upper floor which has the deck. Superb views, just perfect room. Bathroom good size, room good size and very comfortable. Would book again if I returned.

Was good overall, but I was not satisfied with the cleaning of the rooms. We stayed for five nights and our sheets were never changed. They barely even touched the bathroom. Nice staff

Balcony Sea View
Definitely worth the extra price for one of the 4 rooms with a balcony sea view. So pretty!! Down side of the hotel is no parking. Everything else was great!

Happy New Year from Makarska
Last minute stay on New Years Day for a change. Got a room with a balcony overlooking the harbour and with everything going on it was excellent. Parking is a challenge in Makarska but the Miramar sister hotel closes in winter and has an underground car park you can use for €10. 2 mins walk. Lovely modern room.

Excellent hotel!
Hotel and location is amazing. Sea view balcony is awesome experience. You can be literally inside street socium sitting naked without being visible. Only thing is you shouldnt come by car - difficult to find a parking and it is about 2 Euro per hour.

There is no parking on site . Paid so much money in parking alone was advised there was a pool but at a different location.

Dear guests, as we are city hotel in centre of the town we don't have parking places and pool as it is stated on Expedia.com. Depending of the availability we offer to our guests the use of the garage in our second hotel but with the obligatory reservation in advance . Parking was supposed to be available however once we check in the hotel staff told us there was no parking space. We had to find parking on our own, and at additional cost.

Overall happy with this stay. We were travelling around Croatia with a car, and in order to reduce stress/difficulty, we chose our hotels based on sorting by 'free parking available'. On arrival at Hotel Biokovo, we were informed by staff that the carpark was full and advised to pay excessive amounts to park nearby. This was quite frustrating after arranging for the hotel based on parking - eventually staff informed us of free parking 10 minutes away. If the carpark is full, staff really should arrange another alternative for guests. The room was clean and spacious, the view over the water was beautiful. Location is 10/10 on the riviera and walking distance from everywhere in Makarska. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Internet worked with no concerns. Breakfast was adequate although not the most luxurious breakfast spread.

Fabulous view. Right on the main strip. Parking a bit hard to organise. Beds comfortable and bathroom roomy and clean.

A Perfect Experience
We were ecstatic about discovering this hotel in this small but captivating weekend/vacation town at the foot of Mt. Biokovo. Top floor room with balcony at the Hotel Biokovo was amazing—spacious with an all-encompassing view, full breakfast, beautiful shower—even heated bathroom floors! We couldn’t have asked for anything better...Marco and the staff at the front desk made it feel like home.

Fantastic hotel in the old town
Great hotel in a central, bustling location right opposite the harbour. It is well cared for and the rooms were very clean with cleaners coming in everyday. Breakfasts were buffet style with a varied array of food. We were to miss breakfast on our last day as we had an early flight, and the receptionist arranged a pack up one for our journey. If you hire a car, it is worth ringing ahead for a space in their sister hotels' car park. There was however a great, secure alternative 15 minutes walk away which was slightly cheaper.

Great hotel
Loved this hotel and its central location. Stunning views from hotel room. Even enjoyed watching the party boats arriving back into harbour playing boney m brown girl in the ring, brings a smile to your face. The only negative was that the hotel does not provide parking which meant an additional cost of 100 Kuna a day to our holiday. However, a lovely receptionist named Anna provided really useful information of where to access the car parks around the resort. Anna is credit to the hotel and went out of her way to help us particularly as we were tired from a long journey. I would definitely like to stay at this hotel again in a out of peak season as markarska can be quite busy

The view was absolutely incredible. Although this was definitely not a four star hotel the view made it worth it. Breakfast was the same everyday, nothing special. Coffee machines (2) had various issues everyday and they were soo slow.. There was a sleeping security or receptionist sleeping in the lobby at night. That was kind of weird.
