"Walking distance to Waitomo caves. Barely any other guests because I came during the off season. They said checkout was at 10am but my bus to leave Waitomo didn’t come until 4 so the host let me stay in the room for an extra half day without any extra fees. Breakfast was good, good variety of stuff for the price. Great for solo travelers or families with kids. There’s a restaurant nearby that I went to for dinner, it was also great. "

"Pretty basic, free toiletries were just 2 small soap bars only, the 2 towels for showers were the size of larger teatowels, walls had holes covered with tape and painted over and the free wifi kept disconnecting to the extent l had to hotspot from my phone so l could watch programs from my laptop."

"Unit was a bit dated. Would ne nice to spruce up the kitchen - give it a deep clean. Shower was good, nice and hot. Good heaters. "
