Beautiful place

The house is beautiful and equipped with everything you need. As mentioned in other reviews Molly frequently visits. She is the sweetest as well as her owners! We had a party of 6 with 4 teenagers that loved fishing and swimming in the river.

Excellent get-a-way on the river

See the above many comments that recap the charm and cleanliness of this lovely rental. I would caution folks that the narrow, 2 mile, single lane dirt access road to the cabin takes some getting used to. My son and I were not comfortable having our wives drive alone due to how it precariously borders a large drop off and has few pull offs to accommodate an approaching car. In fairness the owner should maybe mention this in the VACASA advertisement.

Holy Highway Noise!

First off the cabin is very nice and comfortable and had everything we needed, including a gas grill with 2 propane tanks handy. The view of the river from the deck and grounds is beautiful. This is a secluded cabin in only the sense that you will have to traverse a roughed-in one way mountain rd. This was no issue for our 4WD Subaru and we only encountered 3 other vehicle's on our 6 night stay, luckily we encountered them near a passable area otherwise one of us would have to reverse down a steep narrow rd. Once you reached this beautiful cabin you think you have made it to peace and serenity... until you realize the main highway that runs through the town is just a stones throw away across the river and drowns out any peace and quiet you are seeking. Unfortunately i had already booked a nonrefundable stay before reading the others comments about this issue, so if you are reading this, think twice about whether this will bother you or not. Its not so loud it will keep you up in your bedroom, but is loud enough to drown out the babbling river noise all day and night. I came up from the very busy Tampa FL area and hear less road traffic. This was a huge disappointment and although a beautiful cabin and view. We will not return. Also, towels smelled terrible, had to rewash multiple times and there was pet hair on all the comforters. We tossed them off the beds and used the provided clean sheets and throws. Everything else was sparkling clean.

River sounds are calming

Loved the river view and fishing. It was great to be able to drop at the bridge and tubing down took about an hour. Spent almost 2 weeks there and was not ready to go home.

Nice getaway

The cabin was very clean, the price was very affordable, and the scenery was very beautiful. I definitely plan on returning again. The neighbor animals were very friendly and a pleasant surprise. The only kind of downside is that the reception is not very good, so it was tough to make phone calls and send text. Great getaway though.

Fly fishing in the Cherokee reservation was great. Unfortunately the bedding was dirty with stained

Dirty sheets. Dirty toilets and nosy neighbor with dogs that have no boundaries.

Beautiful home and place

The house was very nice. We had a great time. The river was beautiful! Molly the dog next door and the 2 cats kept us entertained with no internet! Lol We loved all 3 of them! ❤️❤️❤️ The house only had one dish towel! And making Thanksgiving dinner with 1 dish towel was a chore. 1 hanger in the closet. Washer and dryer did not work. But the place was beautiful and very clean! We would go back, enjoyed it very much.

Family Vacation

Beautiful property, beautiful location and views. Loved the proximity to the river. When we first arrived we were shocked and the road to the cabin, straight up a huge hill, similar to the tractor trailer runs off on mountains, it’s a mile in, narrow and very bumpy and scary. The combo lock didn’t work no matter how many times we tried, and a few phone calls we were able to get the combo to lockbox and use regular door keys instead. We were immediately greeted by the neighbor and his dog. It was a wonderful place to stay; everything was right there; we enjoyed lots of fishing and tubing in the river; we made a fire every night, and made s’mores. We made Breakfast every morning, we had everything we needed. The king size bed upstairs was great and my kids all had plenty of room downstairs. A few negatives were: no hangers in closet, no iron, not enough toilet paper, barely enough garbage bags, batteries only In one remote so we had to switch between rooms, the front door locked every time u shut out and u would be locked out, and it would have been easier if their was access to the back yard from the back steps. Over all it was a lovely experience. And we had a wonderful time. If u don’t mind driving on the road in, the rest was all great.

Perfect getaway

No WiFi but you don’t need it. Had such a great time disconnecting from everyday. Cell phones did work outside and calls would come in and out. The home was beautiful and we enjoyed fishing and even though your away from it all your still close to it all. Just a few minutes from dillsboro shops!

Better cleaning

The dining table had sticky substance on it. You could tell the floors were not swept or vacumed. There was hair still on the floors in bathroom. Toilets needed a good cleaning. First morning waking up there was a dead rat on the front/back door mat. I myself did not like the road leading up to the cabin. Bring your own pillows. The morning we were supposed to be out by 10. Went to finish putting the last items in our truck and I shut the door behind me. Then couldn't get back in because the code no longer worked to.open the door. Thankfully my husband was still inside. Will not book this again

The cabin is great, and in an awesome spot. Long mountainous drive in, on a gravel road, some may not like this. Has one good neighbor, Mr. Hodge, he was helpful. We enjoyed playing in the river. AT&T service doesn't work good here. Would love to own this place, We would definitely stay here again.
