"it's obviously a new hotel built in a condo style. Rooms are large with nice seating area, small kitchen, good bedroom and hot shower/bath.
The swimming pool is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. they don't all speak English. Breakfast is good but it's in another building and on 2nd floor with no lift.
Area is quiet and it's not close to the attractions or 7-11. However if you have a car or bike it's really not a problem.
Some areas for improvement. The beds are to hard. More...
"We really enjoyed our visit at this property, super clean, newer hotel, great breakfast buffet style, very nice personel always ready to serve. Small pool to cool off after day of sightseeing. Will come back definitely!"

"We love our stay at this hotel. K Praew of the Concierge and K Rody of Front Office are truly warm and hospitable to the hotel guests. Would come back and stay here again for our next trip to Chiang Mai."
"The staff were very helpful, especially Paul. The breakfast was great exceeded our expectations. The location was great and transportation was excellent. I would recommend this place to others. "
"I can’t say enough about the service at POR! The staff went above and beyond to make my first visit to Thailand easy and so enjoyable. They helped to arrange for my daily activities and were quick to answer all my questions. The daily breakfasts were amazing and the beverages and snacks available all day were definitely a plus. Thank you everyone at POR!"
"Good location, near airport and downtown, easy access to many interesting place. Seamless process with staff during check in and check out. Friendly and polite staff, overall i had good experience staying here. Highly recommend."
"One of the best places we have ever stayed. It was a few minutes from downtown but we had the hotel driver take us to several areas in town on our request. He was not only on time but early every day waiting on us. . The staff went out of their way to help with all our needs. My wife’s shoes were severely wet from a Toto the National Park and the staff helped with an extra fan so the she’s would be dry before or our flight in the morning. The rooms and service are well deserving of a five star rating. We left for a five star hotel in Phuket and the Chiang Mia Riverside is head and shoulders above the hotel in Phuket. Thank you Chiang Mia Riverside for such a great experience. We may not be back to Chiang Mia but we will refer our family and friends who plan on visiting. "
