Casa El Viso is a large house ("Casa", as the name suggests) that has been converted into a B&B. While at first glance it gives a positive impression (everything seems quite new), as soon as you start looking at the details, you realize that the renovation was done on a very tight budget, with little attention to quality (for example, a makeshift drywall partition inside an air duct to redirect airflow into different rooms). I'm not against budget-friendly solutions at all (most of the furniture is from IKEA, which is perfectly fine with me), but cleanliness and maintenance are a different story. We found hairs in the shower, and the shower itself leaks water onto the bedroom floor, where the wooden flooring is visibly swollen and showing signs of mold due to moisture. The worst discovery came in the morning, when we moved one of the beds and found a large patch of black mold on the wall right next to where our heads had been while sleeping. Besides being extremely unpleasant, this raises serious concerns about potential health risks from prolonged exposure. Overall, the property looks nice on the surface, but the poor workmanship, lack of maintenance, and especially the mold make it very difficult to recommend.

The room smelled horrible with a strong cigarette smell, covered up with a floraly perfume. I messaged the host and they showed up at the door saying it wasnt their fault if someone smoked. I had to keep the window open all night and there was no thermostat in the room to control the temp. Additionally, the lock on the interior of the door didnt work and the wifi was not accessible. I contacted the host 3x inquiring on the wifi and never received a response. I would definitely not recommend this as a place to stay.
