The Rustic Cabin was perfect for our quick visit to the Madison area. The place was comfortable and inviting and tucked away ensuring a quiet and relaxing stay.
The cabin met all our needs. The light hiking around the premises was enjoyable. Downtown Madison, 10 minutes away, exceeded our expectations. The internet was down one day not due to the owner’s fault. She was very receptive and gave us a small discount for the trouble, which we appreciated. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
Came to Madison to joke Clifty Falls. The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, full of simple amenities, the decor and overall cabin feeling left us feeling cozy and relaxed. Actually we ended up spended Saturday evening hanging out in the cabin enjoying the rain and seclusion.
We come to Madison multiple timea a year and have stayed at several of the area VRBO'S. This is one we will try to repeat! Very clean and comfortable cabin. It is in a little cabin neighborhood that is being built up. It has a wrap around porch that was nice to sit out on. Sam was very helpful and great about communicating with us! Very nice stay!!
Absolutely beautiful cabin for 2 peopleWe traveled to Madison to see familyWe love Madison, the shops and restaurants The cabin is very comfortable The wrap around deck has comfortable seatingAnd a outside fanWe enjoyed sitting outside listening to the birds and playing board gamesThe bed is super soft and the area is quiet and peaceful We would definitely stay here againWe actually made reservations for an October weekendThe other owner was easy to communicate with Instructions for Check is was easy to follow
My husband and I loved our time in this rustic cabin! It's on a huge property with other log cabins and 2 ponds. We saw 2 deer our first evening! The covered porch was a great spot to hang out while it rained. The cabin was just as pictured, with a beautiful kitchen and a comfortable bed. Towels and water pressure were also great! The kitchen was well equipped although we ran into town for most meals. Plenty of restaurant/grocery store choices in Madison! Communication with the host was easy; Sam answered any questions promptly and we chatted upon our arrival. We explored Clifty Falls State Park and there was plenty of shopping in town.Definitely would recommend staying here! We're already hoping to bring friends and family back next time!
Was pleased with cleanliness of interior and thoughtful items included in kitchen. My cabin was older and did not have rockers on the porch. Worn out cushions on 2 chairs out-front. No sitting area with a grill. Only a small chimney fire burner sitting in the yard. I can not give 5 stars because on arriving I found the cabin next to me and across from me were being occupied by single Hispanic men. They could see, on my arrival that I was by myself. I assumed these cabins were for vacationing single couples. This cause me to be very apprehensive, being a single woman. I did not sleep that first not at all.Obviously these men were transient workers using cabins to sleep at. I could not get out and walk or visit small lake across from me.Very disappointing. I started to come back after first night but wanted to visit Madison. I stayed my second night, feeling unsafe. I feel that the cabins should not be used for sleep lodging for transient workers in the area.
My husband and I planned a getaway for a few days and loved the pictures of the cabin. Everything was new and the cabin was spotless. We had an issue with our phones connecting to the wifi. Texted the proprty manager for help. When she couldn't help over a text, she drove over and helped us fix the issue. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Rustic Cabin.
