"The room felt much smaller than it looked in the pictures, which was already a bit disappointing. What really bothered me, though, was the condition of the bedding. The comforter and throw pillows were clearly dirty and didn’t look like they had been properly cleaned. To be fair, when I raised the issue, they did respond and changed the sheets. But later, I noticed the comforter itself was still filthy and had to ask again for it to be replaced. That’s when things became frustrating. Instead of simply fixing the issue, the host called me and questioned why I was asking for another change, as if I was being unreasonable. Honestly, that didn’t sit well with me. Basic cleanliness shouldn’t require multiple requests, and guests shouldn’t have to explain why dirty bedding needs to be replaced. Although they eventually changed it, the way it was handled felt dismissive and a bit disrespectful. Another disappointment was the restaurant. I ordered a breakfast meal (eggs and salmon), and the portion was surprisingly small for the price. It felt overpriced for what was served. When I brought it up, the reaction I got was laughter, which made the experience even worse. It came across as though my concern wasn’t taken seriously at all. The only positive part of my stay was the security staff, they were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the reception staff were quite the opposite. They came across as cold, moody, and not very accommodating. "

"This was honestly the worst experience at any place I’ve stayed at in Ghana. I booked this room because it had amenities that I needed like a washer. I tried to wash clothes and the washer was broken and it leaked all over the floor. There was only one outlet in the entire unit that I could use, the couch was broken, there was no drying rack like other units had to dry clothes, the handle for the showerhead was broken so in order to bathe, you had to hold it. They weren’t willing to give me any type of refund or a compensation, and when I asked to be changed to another room, they claimed they didn’t have another room to put me in when I had mentioned that I was considering extending my stay because of my flight schedule, they said they will put me in another room the next day, but then also expected me to pay the full price if you’re ever booking at these apartments do not book with this agency in particular. There are other bookings for the same exact apartments, but with different agencies that will treat you better. "

"On the 26th April 2025 Saturday afternoon, I went round Accra,looking for Peckan hotel's address at Nii Torgbor Avenue, East Legon Accra and I couldnt find the Str called Nii Torgbor avenue. I rang their mobile phone and it rang throughout with no answer. I got a bike man to take me round East Legon which we did and nobody knew where Pekan Hotel Accra was. We asked several people and not even one person knew Pekan Hotel. I decided to get into a big Restaurant to surf for another Hotels.com location and address, now getting to the evening hour. I found Joh Ann Western Guest House Accra on the platform. It says Mokwe Street Accra near Junction Mall Accra. Again, it was not an easy search. We decided to use google search and Sat nav to find it. After several trys, We found the hotels signboard very far from its location. Genuinely, we followed the signboard, which was their good guidance. At every 3minutes, you will see Joh Ann Western signboard guiding with an arrow. We followed the signboards, until we got to Joh Ann Western Guest House Hotel, Accra. The name of the street was not known. But the good thing was the constant guidance with the Joh Ann Western Guest House Hotel's signboards that leads to the Hotel. At last, around 8pm on 26th April 2025, I got into the hotel premises with a friend who helped me find the hotel. It was all a hectic search, But I eventually found your Hotels.com hotel to lodge and stay for a night as my booking states from 26th April 2025 to next day"
