The property is set in the beautiful hills of Coorg! and the resort is built to encompass the beauty of the location. The villas are private and all the facilities are accessible via buggies. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurants had excellent food choices both local and international. The resort offers many activites and has something for everyone.

Fabulous Taj property set in the hills outside of Madikeri town. The rooms (bungalows) are well designed and have been sympathetically built to blend in with the natural surroundings as much as possible. The facilities are fantastic - from the spectacular lobby, modern gym, indoor and outdoor pools to the spa and grounds. Staff are very friendly and try to be helpful although some lacked good English language skills which led to some amusing exchanges! The restaurants on site are good which is necessary as the property is a slow drive to the nearest town - Madikeri.

I took time to write this review as I was very annoyed at this stay experience and thus took time for emotions to settle down and take time to forget specific names as I did not want people to get affected on individual basis. Definitely not worth the hype created, the vastness and terrain of property makes it difficult to manage despite some effort by staff. The diesel buggies are very inconvenient and bad smelling. The staff at reception was inattentive and caused enormous delay at checkout time as they could not sort issues with travel partner on payments despite request on day 1 ( the issue was in both sides I.e. Expedia as well as hotel) and in the end caused a lot of delay in return due to bad timing. Overall not a good experience

Best location in Coorg - I suppose this is the only reason why hotel deserves the price they charge, the view is absolutely stunning and magical Rooms are good but not excellent The reception staff is extremely poor in my opinion the one of the worst you would find any hotel. SPA, restaurant and kitchen staff is really helpful and are very good - did a great job during our stay

The best thing about the property is the location; overlooking a valley and with clouds coming to greet everytime one is out on the terrace. Lush green forest with native flora and fauna flourishing make the stay very relaxing. Service, cleanliness and other essentials are par excellence. Enough and more activities for guests; Infinity pool, sauna, jacuzzy, pool table, foosball, kayaking, treks, zip line and more. Food while high in quality, taste wise didn't really hit off with me though my family seemed very satisfied. On the whole very nice experience!

Fantastic Couples stay

What a fantastic place to stay. From the check-in to the spa everything was fantastic. Would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend seeing the sites nearby and eating local Coorg cuisine in town. The SPA is amazing worth indulging in. The gym was clean and had a ton of good equipment for working out.

Go For the Views & the Hospitality !

Gorgeous property, amazing views of the natural surroundings from the main lobby, the coffee shop (Ferntree), and most of the common areas. Cottages are spaced out really well - foliage around the cottages gives you privacy. Food was really good; only complaint here would be that the portion sizes were too big! Lots of activities - just dependant on the weather. Amazing service at the Jiva Spa. Most importantly- all the Taj people (everyone from the Duty Manager to Restaurant Staff, Buggy Driver and Housekeeping) - super helpful and extremely accommodating.
