The location was great being beside the Star Line tour cruises to Mackinac Island. Overall, the hotel itself was average with need for remodeling.

Was nice to have a bonfire on the beach & watching fireworks from our balcony. The rooms are dated, the screen was broke on the slider door. Close distance to the shopping areas. The beds seemed okay. Mini fridge in the room. They do not have a breakfast. They give coupons for local eateries.

The property did not have a working hot tub, the whole building smelled like chemicals, the room smelled of sewage. Front desk staff was kind. She offered another room but the whole place smelled so we chose not to stay left the same night to drive 5 hours home rather than stay in those conditions. Would never use Ramada or recommend it in the future. We were there one hour and not offered a refund or discount. Strict no refund policy even when the property is not safe. Expedia also doesn't do anything to rectify

Hot tubs not working and haven't for awhile. Once you get past the lobby, the smell is musty and carpetting looks very dirty. We decided to continue to our room which was even worse. We always check the bed for bugs and found a mattress cover that only covered the center of the mattress with what looked to be bed bug eggs, dead skin, food particles and whatever else in the pockets of the mattress. We checked in late and the lobby closed right after handing us our keys. We could not get through to anyone so we left and were able to find a better place. The next day our customer support experience was pleasant and we were able to get a full refund.
